I started personal training at Big Fitness towards the end of July this year. After an injury and a significant amount of time away from the gym, I was the least fit I had been in years, and nervous how this would be received by this training gym. The moment I walked in I knew I had found my gym. The owner Jordan is so passionate about helping you achieve your goals inside and outside the gym and has employed trainers who not only share this mentality and passion but are genuinely fun to be around. Jordan, Mika, Sean, and Joel create an environment that is ideal for personal growth. The trainers are focused and direct when helping you set and achieve goals and know how to make it fun!
I have been working out at Big Fitness for a year and the results have been awesome. My trainer is Mika and she is amazing. She makes the sessions fun while still pushing me to do better. I've lost a lot of weight and I am able do hikes that I would have never been able to do to in the past 25 years. I highly recommend working with Mika, you will love her and the results will be great.
I joined Big Fitness back in March of 2021. The gym is mostly private and exclusive feeling, which was a draw for me as I don't enjoy big open gyms. I was already losing weight with my diet so the team really listened to my goals and developed a plan to focus on strength training at my request. I go two times a week and supplement heavy lifting 2 times at home. Every session we track my progress at the gym and at home and we continually seek to improve performance each time. It keeps me accountable and my Big Fitness sessions vary enough to keep things interesting. As I surpassed my goals, they were open with letting me try new workouts and I also get the added benefit of having someone who will listen to me talk and discuss new foods we tried, or want to try, or things that are going on my life which is great for mental health. I definitely recommend Big Fitness if a big gym isn't your thing and you want to feel like part of the "family" when you go.
I absolutely recommend Jordan for anyone thinking about personal training. He is super positive, knowledgeable, and willing to work as hard as you to help you meet your goals. If you haven't been to the gym in a while, or you are a star athlete who wants to further improve, Jordan will start where you are and develop a plan to help you improve. I've worked with Jordan for 18 months and lost around 25 pounds -- and make no mistake, it's hard work, but everything else had stopped working for me and Jordan was able to get me on track. I never really thought personal training would be for me, but this is one of the best decisions I've made for my health. Do it!
