Wonderful experience. I have been to steakhouses across the country, and this ranks among the very best. No notes. The NY strip was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the loaded baked potato was a pure dream. I sat at the bar and received fantastic service from Damien. Sam, the GM, was personable, attentive, and clearly put the guest experience first. Highly recommend. The next time I am in Austin, I will absolutely be back.
Worth every penny - from our appetizer, to our main entrees, to sides, to dessert. Some of the best food we’ve ever had. I also had the Sunkiss mocktail, it deliciously sweet and spicy which mimicked the taste of alcohol perfectly. Wonderful service, everyone was so attentive and friendly. Our server gave great recommendations and always greeted us with a smile. We will be back!
I really wanted to like this place, especially since everyone I spoke to had a positive experience here. However, it was just okay. I did love the ambiance, and it's very vibey and pretty inside. I ordered the following: Burrata and heirloom tomatoes: 3/5 Tomatoes were good, the burrata was just okay and didn't have much flavor. 15 Day Dry Aged Bone-In: 1/5 The meat quality was fantastic, but unfortunately, that was the only highlight of the steak. I ordered it medium-rare, and the steak came out medium-well. The server came by, saw the temp, and asked if it was okay. I asked for it to be redone as it was overcooked. When the second steak arrived, it was rare. My partner and I were hungry and really didn't want to sit around to have the steak redone for a third time, so we just gave up and ate it. Given this steakhouse's reputation and pricing, I expected the steak to be perfectly cooked to the right temperature. Interestingly, they couldn't cook it to medium-rare. The steak also didn't have much flavor. There's so much potential here, since I really loved the actual quality of the meat. Lobster Fra Diavolo: 2/5 Just okay. Tasted like regular spaghetti and was pretty sweet. Corn Creme Brulee: 4/5 This was the best out of all the other dishes. Very sweet and creamy! Paper Crane: 3/5 Tasty, but didn't love that it was super sweet. Overall, the service was good and I loved the interior. However, it's concerning that they couldn't cook a medium-rare steak. I was also given a streaky plate with oily wipe marks on it which didn't make me feel great about the cleanliness of the restaurant. Another thing to note is that some of the prices on my menu were different from the prices on my partner's menu.
delicious. i ordered the paper crane mocktail, Hokkaido scallops, steak frites with loaded baked potato. everything was seasoned to perfection and so tender. silva was a great server, kind information and attentive. the hosts were very welcoming and pleasant. and everyone here is very good-looking - the women are gorgeous and the men are hot. no complaints.
This place was all that x100. I enjoyed the low light ambience and appreciated the lack of overly loud music playing in the space. I was able to actually hear my friends and have conversation which has been an active issue with a few places I’ve dined at or had drinks at in Austin. The upscale environment matched the delicious food and assortment of cocktails and wines we enjoyed. I tried the baklava, tempura cauliflower, lamb lollipops, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and Mac & cheese — everything was tasty! This is not just a place where you pay for the “bells and whistles”, you will actually get fabulous food and even more fabulous service. We had the pleasure of being served by Siegfried (who was actually having his first official day) and he rocked it! I definitely thought he had been serving for longer because of how great he was! We only knew it was his first day because he told us. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to even suggest a dish to our friend who was indecisive. He also did a great job at making my other friend feel very special on her birthday! I would definitely come again. I have only wonderful things to say.
