Disappointed / Not Satisfied With Broadway Car Wash – 3943 Broadway Oakland This incident happened today 12/27/2025. I purchased my new Mercedes-Benz on 12/13/2025 from Mercedes-Benz of San Francisco, and this was the first car wash since delivery. My vehicle was returned with a long rip in the driver’s seat upholstery and several dark denim stains on the light-colored leather, consistent with dye bleeding over transfer from jeans. I also found a huge scratch in my paint on the front driver side on the exterior of the vehicle and damage to lower part of passenger door on the driver side. No seat covers or foot protection were used, despite dealership paper floor mats being left in place. When I contacted the manager, Curtis, he was rude, combative, and dismissive, refused to inspect the damage, told me to get off the property, and blamed Mercedes-Benz of San Francisco, claiming the car was sold to me damaged. Do not bring your luxury vehicle here. They do not care. I’ve purchased Mercedes-Benz vehicles from Walnut Creek, Pleasanton, and San Francisco—their quality and professionalism speak volumes. Going forward, I’ll only use detailing shops that understand proper vehicle protection, customer care, and value professionalism/ integrity.
Bait and switch. Dishonest car wash service. I went and *specifically* for them to remove tree sap. It was not removed. I purchased super. The person taking my payment said it would come out and if not that they would go over with some chemical rub a bit firmer. I said great. It was literally the only thing I wanted. I actually thought this was a hand wash car wash. It came out looking exactly the same as it went in, plus shiny tires which i don’t care about at all. When i told the service manager what the man promised me he denied, gaslit, and tried to upsell me on a service not appropriate. He declared that it wouldn’t come out in a wash, that we wont rub hard, or use any chemical but soap and water. He said none of his employees would make a promise (a lie). When i asked what can be done about tree sap, he tried to upsell me on a $270 clay bar and wax. I even showed him that it comes off when I rub it without much pressure just with my the skin on my finger. He proceeded to lecture me about tree sap damaging paint. This is a bad company. I know how to wash my car personally and this is part of a car wash. I went to a car parts store and purchased some tree sap and bug stain remover and did it myself. Came off quite easily. Like another reviewer said, a rush job. Would give 0/5 if possible That said… it might be ok if you like to get your car wash 5+ times a month to get the membership. Otherwise, stay away.
Be careful before signing up here. I had a monthly car wash subscription, and suddenly the employee told me I have to pay more just because I drive for Uber! They never mentioned that condition when I joined — this is misleading and unfair. Please be cautious and don’t get tricked like I did.
Broadway Car Wash – Worst Experience! My car got scratched multiple times here, and when I addressed it, the owner overreacted, was rude, and canceled my membership instead of fixing the issue. Terrible customer service! Watch how the owner behaves—I’ll release the full video on YouTube after my lawyer resolves this case. Avoid this place!
I consider this a 3.5/5, so I rounded up . This was my first visit to this touchless car wash. I paid for the "Super" package for $54 (includes the extra $10 due to my having an SUV). Overall, I'm satisfied with the results. They did a great job with interior vacuuming and wiping down the windows and interior surfaces. For external cleaning, the results were mostly okay. The rinsing of the car left much to be desired as there was still some soap residue in one area of the car (most of it was wiped away by the staff). No smudges on the windows post-wipedown. One of the staff, maybe the manager, didn't want me to take photos which I thought was strange. I'll likely return since there aren't many touchless alternatives in the area.
