Bull in the Alley is one of Tulsa’s best-kept secrets — a hidden Art Deco-inspired steakhouse that feels like stepping into a glamorous 1930s speakeasy. The atmosphere is dark, moody, and effortlessly cool, with the kind of intimate lighting and design that makes every table feel special. The steaks are absolutely phenomenal — perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and paired with sides that are just as impressive. Service is top-notch: attentive without being overbearing, and everyone makes you feel like a regular the moment you walk in. If you’re looking for an unforgettable night out in Tulsa — equal parts luxury and indulgence, this is the spot.
I went last week with my party of 6 friends for my 40th birthday. I will have to say it was a hit and miss. Getting the appetizers and drinks came quick, but the entrees took forever to come to the point we were just sitting waiting for the food and had to move our after dinner plans. So on to the food I had the oysters which were very good. Steak was good crab cake was good as well . The Brussels were just okay. the Caesar salad was delicious not the normal kind but definitely was good. And a must try of the bacon which was the star of the show.We had the potatoes Egan we had 2 orders one order came out and was cooked fine but less sauce the other order came and had more sauce but was under cooked. Also the table was cleared while we were cutting cake and my salad was took which they did apologize .packed me one to go. me and the waitress had a whole conversation about how I like the breadsticks. which I asked for some breadsticks to go as well and she said she would add, but when I got home only the salad. Also 2 people in my party meals were charged to each others cards. It took so long for somebody to come back they just settled it with each other the difference cause we had to leave. I always pick different places to eat for my birthday dinner every year rather we are in town or out of town and I will say I had higher hopes for this establishment then I received.
Stepping into Bull in the Alley through the back alley entrance was such a cool way to start our date night. The contrast between the gritty alley and the warm, inviting restaurant inside instantly set a romantic vibe for me and my girlfriend, it’s like stepping into a portal. The place was quiet and relaxed, exactly what we were hoping for. Honestly, it was one of the best date nights we’ve had. The food was just as impressive as the atmosphere. We kicked things off with the crab cakes, which were a total hit. For our mains, we both went for the filet, and wow—it was so tender and juicy, hands-down the best steak I’ve had in ages, and my girlfriend felt the same. The sides are meant for sharing and come in generous portions. My girlfriend couldn’t stop raving about the brussel sprouts and potatoes, and I really loved the pasta with red sauce, it paired perfectly with my filet. The service was fantastic. It was our first time there, and the staff was super welcoming and attentive without being over the top. They matched the laid-back vibe of the place perfectly, very friendly, not stuffy, just genuinely happy to make our night special. If you’re after an upscale yet chill steakhouse in Tulsa for a romantic evening, Bull in the Alley is the spot. Amazing food, great wine selection, and a cozy atmosphere make it perfect for treating someone special.
So. We went for our anniversary, not the best place for something like that. Definitely prefer Flemings or somewhere like that for that occasion but I’m glad we tried it! i love the entrance, it feels very discreet and mysterious at first, i love the inside as well. The service, we had a great waiter. He had great recommendations and conversation, he made our night very enjoyable. 10/10 Now last but not least, the food! Personally for us, we were NOT impressed with the crab cakes. Also wasn’t impressed by the tomahawk, howeverrrrr, That lobster bisque 😳😳😳😳 PHENOMENAL! That bacon also!!!! For me I just wanted to try the place, but for the lobster bisque and bacon appetizer, I’d go back just for that!!!!!! Best lobster bisque in town I’d say.
