A lovely local bakery. I bought a Cruffin eggnog & Hazelnut, Pistachio Croissant, and Brioche Bun Vanilla. This morning I enjoyed the broiche bun and it was amazing. Can't wait to try the others this weekend.
Looks can be deceiving. We didn't think much of this new, downtown Boise bakery, based on social media images. It seemed sterile, blank, cold, empty. We were soooo wrong. The baked goods we tried -- & you know we ran back for more, after sampling a few pastries -- were head & shoulders above almost anything we've had so far. Warm, inviting, vibrant, special, in spite of its stark, sterile white jewel-box surroundings, we felt as if we had been dropped in the middle of a forgotten European town (co-owner Monika is from Czechoslovakia, baker/chef husband Mike is inspired by his time in Slovakia), enjoying pastries as they were meant to be enjoyed for the first time. Quiet revelations in every bite...a Morning Bun full of crunchy sass, a stand-alone crispy fried donut carnival ride, surrounding a soft, pillowy interior. No need for coffee. A blueberry kolach as airy & buttery as it was sweet & tangy. The exquisite Semla bun, a Swedish, cloud-filled cardamom bun made by angels. The heavenly apricot & blueberry gallette. Everything we ordered beat every other bakery by a mile. So THIS is what real tastes like. The staff of three couldn't have been more warm & engaging, humble & charming. Other bakeries take note. We'll be back often, & early (they open most mornings at 9 am).
I showed up at 9 AM when they opened and there was a line out the door. I have to say the wait was well worth it. The service was wonderful, friendly and efficient. Everyone was so nice and it included the customers I was in line with. The sourdough bread is one of best Ive had. The pastries dont only look pretty but delicious. This will be a regular stop for me. I also noticed they sell some honey and jams from local vendors. Nothing better than local. Thanks for bringing in this wonderful bakery.
ORGANIC Bakery!! Yes please! 😍 Took the family here for the grand opening of their “brick & mortar” store. We met the owner lady who was very friendly and grateful for our excitement and enjoyment. We went back in 2 more times the same day to try more things! It’s was amazing!! 🤤 Took home 2 loaves of bread, one classic sourdough and one brioche. Both were incredible. We used the Brioche to make French toast the next day… it was incredible. This place is a MUST try!!
What a cute little store, definitely check it out. I got some cinnamon buns, chocolate croissants and the sourdough brioche. Went with a friend and our kids forna sweet treat, we were sad there was no place to sit and eat our treats. Using my sourdough for cheesesteak paninis!
