This is my second appointment at Busch Nails, and I am so pleased. I was looking for meticulous detail, gentle handling, and advising from my nail tech. I saw Emily both times and she does a great job! I love my nail shape and she recreated my inspo photo perfectly!
Absolutely fantastic experience at Busch Nails & Lash! From start to finish, everything was seamless. We were able to book our appointment online with ease and were seen immediately upon arrival—no waiting around at all. Bruce, the host/manager, was outstanding: warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. The salon itself is spacious with tons of stations for pedicures, manicures, and nail enhancements, so it never felt crowded or chaotic. You can immediately tell there’s no shortage of talent here—everyone seemed skilled, confident, and attentive to detail. The overall vibe was friendly, comfortable, and well-organized. This was my first visit, but it definitely won’t be my last. I’ve found my new go-to nail spot and will absolutely be returning from now on! 💅✨
I truly enjoyed my experience. I was referred by the owner of “My shade & Texture” in the same complex. They created a great greeting upon arrival and the service was just the same. She was gentle and my polish application is impeccable. As a nail tech myself I gave this experience a 10 out of 10. Clean, price efficient and Perfect service!
Richard is definitely one of the best nail techs in Tampa!! I've been getting my nails done for the past few months and absolutely love them everytime. He's done both dip powder and acrylic. They hold up really well and have never had any chips or breaks. He's an expert in nail art and fine details and always goes above my expectations. He is able to perfectly repliate any design I ask for! I will definitely continue coming here to get my nails done by Richard for many sets to come! I was really excited to try Busch naps because the reviews are great and the photos look amazing. I made a same day appointment and my nail techs name was Mariel but unfortunately I left unsatisfied. Disclaimer: I have spoken to a gentleman at the desk there since this appointment and explained why I wasn’t happy with my nails. They offered for me to come in and have them redone asap but I don’t have the time and they also offered a discount for my next set. They took my feedback very seriously and said they would talk to the nail tech so I do appreciate that. I showed my nail tech, Mariel, my reference photo which was black French tips with an almost clear base and asked for a spider web on one nail which I also showed her a picture of. At first, I was impressed by her service because she removed my old nail polish so carefully and gently. I told her how happy I was that she was making sure to preserve my natural nail while removing the polish. The issues arose when she picked a pink bass color for the French tips and asked what I thought so I was honest and told her I was looking for something lighter like the reference photo. She gave me two more options and I was happy with one of them, but after that, she seamed to have an attitude. This made me hesitant to ask for other things about my nails to be fixed because she seemed already upset with me. I did try to ask her to fix minor imperfections about the French tips before curing them because they were a little messy on the edges. But again, she seemed a little frustrated with me so I didn’t want to keep asking her to fix them. When it came to the spiderweb design, she was struggling to do the design and asked another coworker to come try. I think it’s perfectly fine to ask for help when needed, but both techs were struggling to do the design and said my nails were small. In my opinion if you’re a professional nail tech, you should be able to do design designs on any size nails, and mine are not THAT small. The biggest problem for me was that Mariel flooded my cuticles on a few nails. Second, she left gel polish on my skin and cured it in the lamp which can cause contact dermatitis. And last my nails were filed very rough on the edges and she kept curing polish on the nails and didn’t refine the edges until after the top coat. If you file nails after the top coat you are ruining the protective seal of the free edge and that causes the polish to peel faster. Another issue I had was that the desk I was seated at had not been wiped clean after the last client and there was still nail dust all over when they started my nails. After finishing my set my hands still had dust on them and Mariel just put cuticle oil on and rubbed the dust in with it all over my nails and hands. Overall, I appreciate the response to my feedback when I called and I would be willing to give the shop another chance with a different nail tech.
