Was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had it was so inviting and staff went above and beyond, me and my boyfriend’s server ray was the sweetest and made our day! The food was so good and a reasonable price will be returning big recommend!!
I was in Denver for my dad’s birthday, and he chose C’Amore as the place to celebrate. There were six adults and one toddler in total. We had made a 5:30 reservation, and the table was set up and ready, so we were seated immediately upon arrival. My wife and I were the only two drinking. I opted for a glass of wine, and she ordered an Amaro and soda. The wine-by-the-glass selection was all Italian, which makes sense for an Italian restaurant, but I wasn’t overly impressed with the choices—most were rated 3.6 to 3.9 on Vivino. The Amaro and soda was also underwhelming; after a recent trip to South America where we’d had quite a few, this one was very light on flavor. At least they carried one variety. Shortly after ordering drinks, the table was brought bread in the form of little nuggets. It’s hard to go wrong with bread, and these little bites were tasty. However, when we asked for a few more pieces, they brought some that were quite burned and not nearly as good as the first round. We also ordered calamari for the table, and it was well executed—the pieces had a nice crispy batter, there was a good mix of tentacles and rings, and the two sauces were pretty good. For dinner, I ordered the steak and shrimp, and my wife got the lamb risotto. The risotto was definitely a hit, with tender lamb and properly cooked rice. The steak and shrimp was fine but didn’t wow me. I ordered the steak medium, and it was cooked correctly, but the biggest issue was that the sauce didn’t add much. With both the shrimp and gnocchi relying on it, those elements ended up being rather forgettable. Others at the table ordered pasta dishes, and everyone commented that the pasta was too al dente. After trying a noodle myself, I definitely agreed. For dessert, we ordered the peach bread pudding. We were very stuffed by this point, so we mostly ate the delicious ice cream mixed with the sauce and took the bread portion home. Eating it the next morning for breakfast, it was still good, but it would definitely have been better fresh from the kitchen. Overall, I’d give this place a 3.5, but I’m rounding up because they handled the reservation nicely for a larger party, the lamb risotto was very well executed, and the service was friendly throughout.
My best girlfriends and I came here for a girls’ night out dinner, and we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the menu selection. The drinks were great, and the food was even better! Everything can be modified, which is a huge bonus—and you can really tell how fresh everything is. We ordered both appetizers and main courses, and everything was absolutely top-notch. Our waitress was wonderful as well—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. We will definitely be back!
Went here for date night. It was a mixed experience but we would not return. The service was good, the strawberry lemonade was exceptional, and the vegetable lasagna was packed with delicious veggies. But the shrimp fettuccine alfredo was more bland and watery than I’ve ever experienced. The noodles in it were chewy too. The caesar salad tasted like fish somehow. And the atmosphere here was so incredibly loud that it was hard to hold a conversation. On top of the loud strange music selection, something that sounds a bit like a tornado siren was going off every 10 minutes or so near the back corner booth. It could have been feedback from the speakers. We capped off the meal with an affogato that was delicious. Our meal was ~$88 for two people… it wasn’t worth that price for us. We won’t return.
This is our second time here. We wanted to give the restaurant another try. The first time was a few months after they opened, I had chicken Marsala. Chicken was thin, tough and bland. I don't recall what my husband ordered. He didn't like his dish as well. We were very disappointed. Last week we decided to give C'Amore another try. The staff and drinks were fine. I had the Dirty Martini and my husband had the Black Manhattan. The food was disappointing and not worth the price. First the bread, it was cold and hard. We did like the balsamic and olive oil that came with it. I had the Grilled Ribeye $27+ that came with fries and steamed veggies. Unfortunately, they ran out of fries. They added more veggies in place of fries. My dish came out cold. Blue cheese on top of steak was bland and the butter didn't melt on my steak. It was not a warm plate. My husband ordered Short Rib Ravioli $25+ which was disappointing. It was a small portion with maybe six ravioli on the dish. Not worth the price. My husband was still hungry. Can't say we didn't give them another try. Overall, staff and drinks were fine. Food was not. We were very disappointed. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back. If you do go, make reservations ahead of time. Small waiting area and gets a little cramped.
