By far the best lunch spot in the medical district. Fabulous food, consistently wonderful atmosphere - and the staff is awesome. Did I mention the food hits EVERY time? Gotta try the Alpha Burger - you won’t be disappointed!!! Best fries in town!
My granddaughter and I had a quick lunch at this spot a couple of weeks ago before heading to a doctor’s appointment across the street. Everything was on point; from the warm welcome, cool vibe, charming decor and amazing food, we’ll definitely go back soon! It’s a hidden gem that I highly recommend! (The chicken sandwich was amazing and the fries are out of this world!!!)
This homemade grilled cheese sandwich is everything you didn’t know you needed. Made with thick, house-baked bread that falls somewhere between Texas toast and a buttery, herby biscuit, every bite is rich, golden, and satisfyingly crisp on the outside while pillowy inside. The cheese melts perfectly, stretching with every pull. Pair it with the cucumber mint chiller lemonade—a must-have. It’s cool, refreshing, and balances the richness of the sandwich with just the right touch of herbal brightness. And don’t skip the fries! These flat, golden beauties resemble classic steak fries but deliver a perfect crisp that keeps you reaching back for more. It’s the kind of meal that feels indulgent yet homemade—with real heart in every bite.
I didn’t get any photos on my first visit as we tore into the delicious offerings without documentation. The $16 salad is pricy but massive and can be shared. The Kickin’ Chicken was ordered again on my 2nd visit as it was superb! Don’t forget to grab an in-house-baked sweet treat to have with coffee tomorrow morning!
I stumbled upon this hidden gem on Yelp. Initially, I was a bit taken aback when I entered. There was no one to greet me, and the restaurant was devoid of customers. However, the hostess emerged from the back with a cheerful and jovial demeanor. I perused the menu and decided to indulge in the Big Ass BLT. To my delight, the bacon was generous and not stingy at all. The bread was toasted to perfection, holding up well as I savored each bite of my BLT. Accompanying my sandwich was a side of pan-fried potatoes and onions. If I had known how delectable they were, I would have ordered a double portion. The only reason I gave this restaurant a 4-star rating is because the interior was freezing cold. It made it challenging to relax in such a great atmosphere. The potatoes were absolutely incredible—freshly cooked and thoroughly prepared. They had been in the oven for about 30 minutes. I would have ordered some to go, but I didn’t want to wait that long.
