The food was amazing! They even gave us free miso soup and had us taste their new desserts (it was good too!) Very friendly staff and the food portion is great. Will definitely go back.
Chef Won is a very talented cook. Even though he is Korean, he makes some amazing sushi. I orderd a couple of sushi platters for a party and everyone was super happy with the food. I will be coming here for my take out orders. He also has this buldak mayo that is so good, a must try spot in kitchener. The only downside for me was the lack of table seating, but if you're all for take out, I highly reccomend.
I had such an amazing experience at Chef Won Kitchen in downtown Kitchener. I ordered the food Chef Won recommended, and it was absolutely delicious. Both Chef Won and his wife are so friendly, kind, and supportive — they make you feel truly welcome. The dishes are authentic and homemade, just like being served in a kitchen in Seoul. I’ve traveled to Seoul before, and this is exactly the same taste, but right here in Canada! The food was hot, fresh, and so flavorful. I also bought some kimchi to take home, and even after keeping it in the refrigerator for a week, it still tasted so good. Highly recommend this place if you want real Korean food and a warm, genuine dining experience!
Chef Won has run an online takeout business for some time, but I was so excited when I saw that he was opening his first location downtown Kitchener. His sushi is fantastic, and the fish he uses is very fresh. His shrimp kimchi is extremely flavourful, and not too spicy. Highly recommend.
I ordered from Chef Won before he opened his restaurant and can say his sushi was superb, it only gotten better now that he opened an official restaurant! I ordered his Dynamite roll, Bento box set #2 and Rainbow Roll, came around $37 (tax included). I will definitely have to return to try the other sushi items.
