Beautiful wine tasting, the Grand Barossa Shiraz (2023) was some of the finest Red I've ever had... Michael P was totally amazing! He guided us as to what we wanted to drink and what our pallets were longing to taste... I couldn't recommend this place enough as the staff, ambience and wine is simply superb! If you are in Sydney make sure you visit this hidden gem!!!
We enjoyed the wines and the cellar door is an enjoyable space in a great location. We were disappointed by the experience itself and felt it wasn't the professional tasting we expected, with the expected level of knowledge and conversation topics. We visited on the 2nd day of the year so perhaps staff called in sick after a hectic NYE. One staff member was definitely not sufficient to attend to the number of guests.
Had the best tasting experience with Edward last night with my friends. I became a member of Chateau Tanunda after visiting the winery in Barossa and while Sydney location may not be in a "chateau" the tasting room is cosy and welcoming and the wines are great!
A hidden gem in the Rocks. By far the best wine tasting experience in Australia ever! Lovely meeting the welcoming and knowledgeable host Michael - he explained how the landscape and terroir affect the tastes of wines thoroughly. Wide range of wines made from vines of different vintages tasted - all delicious!
I am no wine connoisseur, but my guest and I both found this experience to be insightful and memorable. Justin is the perfect host, who talks you through each wine including the $500 a bottle Everest. There is no hard sell just an insight into great wines. I fell in love with the Barossa 1858 Field Blend, which was one of the best wines I have ever experienced. Great value for money and a fantastic way to spend the afternoon. The only area for improvement is to have a few food items available to help soak up the different wines, but I believe they are working on it! 🍷❤️ Highly recommended!!!
