We have been taking our dogs to Commonwealth Animal Hospital for years and love everyone there. All of the staff have always been so kind and helpful and are so great with our dogs. We love Dr. Keb - she is always so patient and sweet with our girl who gets so nervous at the vet. Absolutely recommend them!
Dr. LaSpina is so great. Established care with CommonWealth in September. My cat was having inappropriate urination problems. She suggested a food change and as needed medication which worked amazingly. Unfortunately I live downtown and we believe the noises are stressing her out, so the inappropriate urination happened infrequently but enough for me to know she’s still stressed. Came back in a few days ago and got her on a longer term medication to help. VCA would have likely made me do another UA and work up. But Dr. LaSpina offered to just ultrasound her bladder and only do the UA if she saw inflammation. She also met me where I was with my understanding of my cats health, informed me of why she was suggesting the new medication so I could understand without making me feel dumb, then gave me methods of how to get my cat to take the medicine. Even when I move to a quieter area once my lease is up, we’ll still make the trek to come here. :)
All of the staff are friendly and efficient. The Vet gives clear and concise explanations of what they are doing and what the treatment plan is. We brought both of our dogs here for a stomach issue they have been having and were shocked at how inexpensive it was. It seems like they also offer different forms of medication than just giving them a pill and hoping for the best. One of my dogs received liquid and B12 under the skin for dehydration which put a pep back in her step. We will definitely be coming back here for regular checkups!
I was a walk in and was able to be seen on the spot. From the desk to the check up, it was a phenomenal experience. The desk clerk was very informative and patient, she helped me get a room on the spot, and was very polite. The vet tech was spectacular. She was extremely sweet, super informative, and was easy to be with. I was seen by Dr. Keb and had a very pleasant experience. Again, was super informative and patient with me and my dog. Overall I had a 10/10 experience with the entire staff. Additionally, I feel like I was quoted very fairly and they were very transparent about everything.
We recently (a few years ago) switched to Commonwealth at first for the convenience of the location and the fact that they had boarding availability for our two frenchies. As time passed, there’s no words for the help and care they have provided for our boys. Once our oldest dog Cameron was diagnosed with cancer, we were given a very thorough explanation of our options and information to make the best decisions for him. A year later, they have been there for us every step along the way! Highly recommend for their compassionate and professional care of both Cameron and Link!
