I have gone to Susan for 4 tattoos so far—2 personal designs and 2 Friday the 13th flash tattoos. Her work is impeccable, her pricing is very reasonable and she’s a pleasure to sit for and talk to. The studio itself is gorgeous and clean. I have driven down twice since moving out of the area just to go here again!
great service. great and friendly people. made me and my people who we were getting matching tattoos feel welcome and comfortable for the request we made. as soon as we came in we were serviced and taken swiftly for our tattoos. GREAT amazing artist in general that helped bring our ideas to life. very appreciative! go there!!!
Got my first tatoo with 'J' here today. I got the Lord of the Rings One Ring script in a band and it looks gorgeous. J was patient and dilligent, making sure I was happy with 100% before getting started. I was super impressed by J's integtiry. He was straightforward and candid about the design as well as care during and after consultation, pointing out where things could go wrong even to the point of potentially costing him business. He was knowledgable, professional, and made this a great experience for me. The studio is beautiful and bright, the staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend getting work done by J.
I was in town for a conference and did some digging and research before deciding on King, an artist at this shop. Their work is displayed on social media and I reached out via text to schedule an appointment. King has an assistant who handles his booking, but it was pretty straightforward. $100 deposit that goes towards your total, $150 per hour, 2-hour minimum. It's been a while since I've had an ink session but was pretty sure I would only need 2 hours for what I was getting. Once deposit was paid, I received a booking text that confirmed my time. The artist had something come up during my originally scheduled time, but gladly checked the schedule to get me in while I was still in town. There are two sections upstairs, and myself and two others were getting tattooed in one area at the same time- but it wasn't crowded and we weren't on top of each other. They guys had a good vibe and energy between them and the air was light and filled with stories and laughter. I would think this would relax a nervous person, to see the artists comfortable in their spaces and happy to work. I had a small touch up on one tat and two new ones, which spanned the full 2 hours. He initially sketched out the tattoo based on my photos, but once I saw them in print and didn't like the font, he let me go through the database to find one that I did like. The tattoo behind my ear went quick and was quite painless. The one on my forearm went well too. King has a good hand and great line work. I generally go to the same artist when I like them, and if I ever get another tattoo while in Norfolk, I would book with King again.
Decided to find a tattoo shop that did walk ins and found this place! Immediately greeted and asked what we were looking for. Had the pleasure to get a small tattoo done by Rico. Super friendly, chill guy and did an amazing job! Definitely recommend!
