Great experience! Besides being a nice upscale restaurant at reasonable prices, the best part for us was the gluten-free options. Our daughter has celiac so no gluten. They provided a special menu with all gluten-free dishes, and even the bread & butter for the table was gluten-free - a first for us! (they also gave us regular bread & butter). It was a special experience for her and us, and we will seek our Coopers Hawk whenever nearby.
Coopers Hall is such a special venue. We were fortunate to have our middle school jazz band’s performance at Coopers Hall and the beauty of the space, friendliness of the staff and delicious food and drinks made it an event to remember. The gorgeous sunlight streaming in through the floor to ceiling windows, twinkling lights strung from the rafters and the stacked wine barrels made for the perfect backdrop to the perfect evening. If you’re thinking about holding your special event at Coopers Hall, I can’t recommend them enough!
Choosing Cooper's Hall as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding! Wedding planning is stressful but the staff at Cooper's Hall did so much to mitigate that stress. We worked with Coral as our day of coordinator, however, she was in communication with us from start to finish. She was always happy to answer our seemingly silly questions. She is extremely professional and communicative. On the day of, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Half the time I had no idea what was going on, but Coral would appear to queue us to the next step of the night. She took the time to learn who our friends and family are so that she could respectfully direct them as well. Leading up to your big day, you will be invited to a tasting night to try the seasonal menu, samples wines, meet other couples, and make your selections for your event. It was such a lovely experience for us. Multiple guests told us that the food was the best that they had ever had at a wedding. It is not your traditional bland wedding food! All of the staff at Cooper's Hall are excellent. The wait staff are extremely attentive and efficient, the food was exceptional and the bar staff were amazing as well. They truly think of everything so that you don't have to worry on the day of. Wedding's are expensive, but my husband and I both felt that it was money well spent for the experience that we had. If you are looking for an urban, romantic venue that is low-stress, I don't think you will be disappointed with Cooper's Hall!
As a wedding photographer, Coopers Hall is one of those venues you get excited for in Portland. It's not just that it's always a beautiful layout and design as-is, or that the food is always exceptional, but the space is perfect for guests and family to connect. It just "feels" Portland. One of my favorite parts of a wedding day at Coopers Hall is blending in with guests during cocktail hour, as they share laughter and tasty snacks. A quick step outside for evening photos with the couple is convenient, but most importantly, the staff and venue makes it SO easy for everyone to enjoy one another. I've photographed many weddings at Coopers Hall, and the attached photos are just from a handful!
If I could give Coopers Hall more stars, I absolutely would. From planning to execution the entire team was so kind and helpful, and the wedding reception we hosted went off without a hitch. The venue itself is gorgeous and requires minimal decoration, if any, and the food is absolutely incredible. I would recommend Coopers Hall to literally anybody who is planning an event.
