chris was absolutely amazing. I came in thinking i wanted fluffy sectional couch but ended up going with the Mass Mesa two seater with an ottoman. Chris was super attentive and very knowledgeable about everything Austin Couch Potato has to offer as a business. Investing in a couch was always a worry but the quality of the Mass Mesa was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t reccomend this place more and definitely ask for chris if he is there. He was a genuine sweet guy that didn’t feel like he was just trying to make a sale.
I love the designs and customization options. They build their own furniture so they also have the ability to negotiate pricing a bit. friendly service and quick turnaround on custom ordered sofa. their furniture care program is a 4 year term that you get back in store credit of you don't use it. very happy I randomly stopped by today!
Well, I read reviews and really liked the idea of doing business with a local company. I purchased a couch, 3 ottomans, and 7 chairs. I purchased the guaranteed 3 week delivery. 3 weeks later I had to call and ask where my furniture was. Then I was told it was guaranteed to be built in 3 weeks not delivered. Then the manager corrected his salesman and said only the furniture they build is guaranteed to be delivered. Then he asked since they could not deliver through their company if I would pay a hotshot company to deliver. The manager reimbursed the payment 5 days later. Really not sure why they could not front the money to pay the mover to make the deadline. By the way, the guarantee is that they will reimburse your payment cost of expediting your order, nothing else. 4 of the chairs where not delivered. They were manufactured by another company and are not covered under the "guarantee". I was told they would arrive the next Wednesday between 10am and 1pm. Again, they did not show up. I was told "This happens". They were not sure why i was told they would be delivered because they do not have them yet. I am still waiting for a call on the next delivery time and date. I should not have to call over and over again to find out why this company can not perform a shipment. I have to wonder if the next scheduled delivery will be the same outcome. Please take another day off of work to get the product you paid for possibly delivered. It is extremely frustrating and difficult to believe a local company has such bad communication and delivery service. I would have expected much better. I would not recommend this business.
Awesome atmosphere and tons of great furniture in the store. JR and Mike are incredible to work with. I was interested in a reclining sofa right away, and JR helped me find a nice swivel chair to accent it. Both pieces are excellently made and look great in the space. Thanks again I’ll certainly be coming back for more!
Richard was helpful, informative, and lovely to work with from beginning to end. He IS the experience! He understood my budget and what I was looking for in a new couch, especially working with a local company where the couches are sold and produced. He went above and beyond for me and I’ve recommended him and this wonderful local company to everyone I encounter. I never knew buying furniture could be so enjoyable and easy! I purchased using affirm, which was seamless and quick. While the fabric I chose was delayed — it was well worth the wait! Richard provided helpful and timely updates, as well as answering my questions right away. Once the fabric arrived, I received my new beautiful couch within 4 business days. Delivery was also great! The men arrived on time (HUGE) and were in and out, full set up, within 20 minutes! I highly recommend working with Richard, and look forward to working with this company again in the future. I love my new couch so much!
