L'emplacement Lantern, situé dans une boulangerie rénovée, accueille des expositions, notamment des photographies de Bill Rauhauser. L'espace présente un éclairage unique et un personnel sympathique et serviable, dirigé par la propriétaire Angela, créant une expérience de shopping unique en son genre.

I've been buying clothes from Angela at Coup D'état for years. I recently went through a major closet reorganization. It was really amazing to see that all of the pieces that I've purchased from Angela have stood the test of time. They are all such high quality items that I still wear regularly. What is even better is that I likely would have never picked the items out myself. Angela curated all of these pieces for me. Angela has a gift and we are really so blessed that she shares it with us. Couldn't recommend Coup D'état more.
Cou D'état is such a beautiful experience. Angela has curated an incredible selection of home goods, clothing, accessories and beauty + skincare from indie designers and small businesses. If you want something unique for yourself or as a gift, this place is it! There's honestly no other store in Detroit like it. The location on the East Side of Detroit at Lantern is also so cool - in a renovated bakery building. Highly recommend if you've never been!
One of my favorite shops in Detroit- there's always something great here: clothes, books, shoes, beauty products, and gorgeous local handmade things. It's a beautifully curated small business run by an amazing woman! Highly recommend making an afternoon out of visiting Coup.
Coup D’état is a thoughtfully and beautifully curated Detroit treasure, a destination in and of itself. There’s something for everyone, from beautiful gifts for the home to cutting edge beauty, accessory and clothing labels. It’s excitement galore every time you walk in the door.
What a gem! Coup D'état is so thoughtfully and intentionally curated from the incredible clothes, accessories, and even a truly remarkable photography exhibition featuring the work of Bill Rauhauser. The space has the most unique lighting and everyone I've run into who work here are helpful and friendly. Angela who is the owner is such a light. Definitely stop by as you never know what you'll find or who you'll meet!
