Service was quick and efficient. Texted when the order was ready (which was only maybe 5 mins even though it was busy in the food court). Had the beef dip which was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend it. Should’ve asked for extra napkins as it’s a bit messy but so worth it. This is no fault of the shop at all, just a suggestion due to it being in a food court - If there isn’t readily available seating nearby, order it to go because the food is not covered at all if you “dine-in” and it can easily spill if you get bumped walking around trying to find a seat. I’ll be sure to come back to Crafted Crust next time I’m in Winnipeg :)
Best beef dip in the city.. everything on the menu is great but the beef dip is a must try for any beef dip lover.
I ordered the French dip. Firstly, it's served on practically a hotdog bun. The bread is too soft and the sandwich gets soggy quickly. A French dip should have a crusty bun to be able to soak up the au jus without getting soggy. Additionally, the au jus was closer to a beef gravy than au jus. It had a strong, concentrated taste that coated the sandwich, instead of getting soaked up by the bread. Lastly, there was not enough cheese for the sandwich. It also had a strong garlic taste which left the dish unbalanced. The meat itself was nice, but it could have been more tender. Based off this sandwich, I don't think I would try this place again.
You can't ever go wrong with a Ruben sandwich. This one was exceptionally good and tasted very fresh. The Lemonade also hit the spot. I've been craving a good lemonade all summer and everyone I've got just tasted too sweet like Kool aid. This was EXACTLY what I wanted! Good old lemonade that wasn't over the top sweet.
My first not so good experience here was probably a month or two ago when I ordered the chicken blt. First couple bites were good until I noticed that there was a long dark strand of hair in it. Stopped eating there for a while until recently. I got the beef dip sandwich and it was not the best, the bread was burnt in a couple spots and it was soggy and not edible. It seems that the amount of dip you get varies on if you get dine in or take out as I have noticed from a picture I saw on a review.
