Visiting family in the area and popped in for a bite before shopping. They come here often and love supporting local! Loved the croissant breakfast sandwich! Perfectly made! Delicious! I later had one of my cousin's favorite cookies from here (oatmeal). It was definitely the best I've ever had!
Today I happened upon the cutest bakery in downtown Norfolk. As soon as I opened the door, the aromas of fresh flavors and sugary sweetness invited me in! The service; helpful, speedy and efficient with me barely sitting before I received my order! The owner, who was familiar with my partner who frequents, came over and greeted us with such a positive attitude! She explained her years of experience and they could definitely be tasted in our orders. The triple chocolate chip cookies… MOIST and FLAVORFUL!! So yummy! And the red velvet and cookies and cream cupcakes…. OUT OF THIS WORLD! Highly recommend and I highly encourage you to stumble across this gem!
I was on the look out for diabetic friendly desserts I can order for the upcoming holidays, due to not being able to tolerate a lot of sugar. I wanted to sample some desserts so I order 8 cupcakes…I put in for shipping since it’s “nationwide” to be on a Saturday. They didn’t come til Tuesday (I called and one person said Monday then someone else said Tuesday a week or so later). I called the second time they said it would come Tuesday and they would be able to send me a tracking number..I never received a tracking number. The day they were delivered I get a notification from my complex. As I open the FedEx box I noticed there is NO freezer packs nor insulation to keep any coldness inside (I paid $41 in shipping). I’ve ordered baked goods for loved ones before from other bakeries and it was nothing like this. There was a small roll of plastic wrap (What you roll dishes in/ glass when moving) and a fabric Walmart bag to prop the cupcakes in the box so they won’t move. Both packs were melted and one was even partially open.
Amazing bakery items and food. They size their food differently here! Generous portions. I had a really chocolaty chocolate chip cookie that was delicious (not too sweet), and my breakfast sandwich was so fresh and filling. Highly recommended this little gem!
The baked goods are amazing! There are so many fresh bakery items to choose from, and they all looked delicious. We got the banana nut muffin, the cinnamon roll, and three cookies. The molasses, snickerdoodle, and brookie. All of the items we tried were delicious, but the molasses cookie was our favorite. The family who runs this business is extremely kind and welcoming. They took time to chat with us and were very friendly. Such a cute place to visit, and their desserts are a must try for everyone in the area!
