When I relocated from San Francisco to the East Bay, I sought Steve’s expertise to refresh my bedroom and living room furnishings. His discerning eye and impeccable taste guided me toward pieces that not only elevate the space but also reflect my personal style. For my bedroom, Steve discovered a striking floor-length mirror that serves as a dramatic focal point. He complemented it with a sophisticated area rug, elegant nightstands, refined table lamps, and a luxurious bedding ensemble, creating a cohesive and bespoke atmosphere that I absolutely love. He also sourced a beautiful jewelry dresser that not only keeps my collection impeccably organized but also harmonizes seamlessly with the room’s aesthetic. In the living room, Steve continued to impress with his thoughtful selections. He found a sumptuous area rug, a beautifully crafted sofa, and sophisticated table lamps and end tables—all of which integrate effortlessly to create a welcoming and polished environment. The finished space feels curated yet comfortable, effortlessly blending style and function. Working with Steve was an absolute pleasure. His ability to streamline the process while minimizing overwhelming choices made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. Steve has been so helpful in assisting me in redesigning various spaces in my home. He helped transform my living and dining room areas that needed updating by suggesting a dramatic accent wall color sourcing colorful modern artwork and helping me source a beautiful walnut dining table, chairs and companion buffet as well as a very elegant chandelier to complete the space. He also helped me with custom drapery that adds a touch of sophistication to both the dining room and adjacent living room while making it all feel warm and cozy. Steve helped me modernize the living room area by choosing a modern console table, TV cabinet, floor lamp and area rug. For my office, Steve suggested upgrading my pine bookshelves to a more modern look with an open bookcase concept, and he styled it beautifully for me. My home has been refreshed and reimagined with added touches that elevated the various rooms that I now enjoy and that my friends have loved seeing. I would whole heartedly recommend Steve and plan to have him return to help modernize and upgrade other rooms in my house.
I had recently moved back from New Mexico to help tend to my mother when I knew I was ready to transform and update my childhood bedroom. Being right on the water, I realized I wanted to incorporate a coastal look and feel and match the beauty of the gardens and water outside. Steve helped define the look and feel of the space and pushed me outside of my comfort zones especially with color and adding accent colors to two walls in my room. I resisted at first, then when I saw it, I knew it was right. He helped select an area rug with a coastal feel and color way as well as a rustic whitewashed bedframe and headboard that looks like it been from a beach house in Nantucket. He found a gorgeous bedding set that plays to the coastal look and upgrades the space with comfort and style. Cane front nightstands and green sea glass-inspired table lamps all help complete the space. He helped me pick framing for a water-colored heron artwork that was the inspiration for the whole project that set off the image nicely. I also have custom roller shades in soft coastal colors that complete the room and a comfy swivel chair and ottoman that I love to sit in and read as well as look out at the beauty of the bay before me. Steve also worked his magic in our guest room that had been long neglected with finding new bedding, nightstands, table lamps and area rug in addition to a fun mirror that all coordinates with an existing print that now has a purpose for being in the room.
I am honored to recommend Steve Adams for his incredible design talent! I had no idea where to start - I didn’t even know what type of art I wanted on my blank walls or overall decor for my living room. His patience and guidance helped me figure out my style and vibe. He helped me select different items including frames, prints, curio cabinet (my favorite), area rug and draperies (and took measurements). And, he worked within my budget which I greatly appreciate. His artistic flair for color, texture and ambiance tied everything together. After all the items were ordered, he curated my living room - created the plan, framed the prints and hung the artwork. In addition, he hung the drapery rods and drapes. Complete with all his own supplies and years of experience, it was an incredibly stress-free experience…I could not have even attempted this project myself. When I had family and friends over for the holidays - my living room received high praise…it was complimented over and over (of course credit goes to Steve).
