We had two prime rib, a skirt steak, and seafood rice- all were excellent! Well priced, generous portions, and cooked correctly, which is always important with a steakhouse! The parking lot is small, but it’s nice to not have to look for street parking! Would definitely recommend!
Steak was a little under seasoned for my taste but still cooked beautifully, regardless great experience overall. Cosy upscale pub like atmosphere with pleasing decor and lighting. Staff attentive yet not pushy. A must try dinning on your own, or with a small group ( they can easily accommodate a moderate large group with notice).
In town for work and decided to have lunch/early dinner here and I was not disappointed! Food was so good, I had to order a meal to go since I can’t get it delivered to my hotel!
Five stars well deserved from the service to the food. I found my new go to restaurant when traveling to Newark. My server Emilio was on point. He recommended the rib eye and man was it a great recommendation. Not only was the steak cooked just the way I like it, the flavor was great. WARNING!! Come with an appetite if you’re going to order the rib eye because that rib eye is HUGE!!! It was also more than reasonably priced. I can hardly wait to come back to Newark now that I know about Dayton Steakhouse.
This place left a fantastic impression. I want to start with the service because it was top-notch. You can be sure that if you have any concerns about a dish, they will replace it without any issues. Even when the restaurant is busy, you won’t have to search for a server. The staff is very friendly and attentive to guests’ needs. The dishes are delicious, and the portions are great. If I’m ever in New Jersey again, I’ll definitely stop by for an excellent steak.
