Absolutely loved my visit to DeSano Pizzeria Napoletana in downtown Austin. The vibe is cool and lively without being overwhelming, and the self-service setup keeps things moving fast—perfect when you’re hungry and don’t want to wait around. The pizza is the real star: authentic Neapolitan-style with a perfectly thin, tender crust, lightly charred and full of flavor. You can tell the ingredients are high quality and handled with care. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient, making the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. If you’re craving legit pizza in the heart of Austin, DeSano is a must-stop 🍕🔥
Da mN good pizza. Of the best U. S. Neapolitano pizzas I have had. And I've been to Naples. We had a fun time in the dough room surrounded by pizza making stuff. Staff was super friendly and knew how to play the game for the passers through. Good time here. Oh yeah, good food too. CritDicks
The pizza tastes like straight from Italy. I loved it 🥰 and I can really recommend the garlic butter both normal and spicy. I ordered the Margarita DOP in medium size and it was so delicious. Will definitely come back soon.
Wow! Happened upon this spot when looking for a drink before a show. As a woman was leaving she remarked to us ‘If you’re looking for the best pizza in town, this is it!” We weren’t looking for food but we ventured in. A very friendly woman greeted us and explained the drink options as well as the pizza. We selected pizza and a wine and WOW! Amazing! We’ll be back time and time again. The pizza took no time to arrive. The crust was thin yet hearty. The cheese vs sauce ratio: perfect! Can’t wait to come back and get a pizza with toppings to explore the flavors. Watching the chefs arrange the toppings on other peoples orders is an event on its own. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
This pizza is easily among the best I’ve had, without question in my Top 25, maybe even higher. The ingredients speak for themselves, fresh and full of flavor. We ordered the Desano, a perfect balance of sausage, pepperoni, mozzarella, and smoky, creamy scamorza cheese. The Neapolitan-style crust was exceptional, with just the right amount of salt to bring all the flavors together. To finish, we tried the pistachio cannoli, the cannoli cream was light, creamy, with a touch of sweet acidity that made it unforgettable. Truly something special.
