I had service completed at the 2927 Southwest Fwy location and I received exceptional service! I only recall/asked one of the employees names, Cameron. However there was one other employee was also so very helpful & friendly during my entire process as I initially had a concern with my wheel locks. Long story store this location & all of the staff are amazing! Definitely recommend this location & I’m beyond grateful to them and for the service I received.
I've been a loyal Discount Tire customer for over 30 years. My go-to store is the 9014 Gulf Fwy location. Since we moved, I decided to try another location, the 2927 Southwest Fwy location. Well, that was a mistake. The sales associate who met me couldn't have been more friendly and professional. I had booked a wheel rotation/balance/air pressure adjustment online, the wait time was as expected so all good there. Unfortunately, the techs there were an absolute let down. First, my phone holder on the drivers side had some rubber grommets missing, for sure a shirt got caught on it. It's happened to me a few times. But they said no it wasn't them, I scoured the parking lot and found it in the bay where they were performing the wheel rotation on my Subaru. All good, no harm done. I was finally able to go on my way. As I exit the Discount Tire parking lot, I notice my air pressures are 36/38/37/35. Like really? Sometimes they're off 1psi but level off. But these were way off. I had to go around which sucks with Kirby/SW area traffic. When I made it back to Discount, I hoped in the line that just does tire air pressures. I explained to the tech that I was just there and the pressures were way off. He was pretty dismissive about it and said the machines weren't calibrated. So either the tech didn't do it initially, or they're performing adjustments knowingly with machines that aren't working properly or calibrated as should be. I shouldn't have to redo my tire pressure after going in for that. The tech adjusted him, I thanked him and was finally on my way with the correct pressure in my tires. Now I'm feeling some vibrations which I wasn't feeling before and am now wondering if the same tech did my tire balance and rotation who did my tire pressure initially. The final straw is noticing 2 of my aluminum valve caps weren't even put on the tires after the pressure adjustment. I'm just going to book an appointment with the Gulf Fwy crew and recommend that people do not use the SW location. Such a disasppointment and waste of time. Especially as a regular customer, who's order many sets of aftermarket wheels and tires from them.
While incredibly busy, I had an appointment (I recommend you have one too!) and was seen relatively quickly. The associate was friendly and while he tried to sell me more, wasn't pushy about it and took my "no thanks" politely and moved on. I feel the prices were fair and the service was great.
We came to discount tire this morning at 9am and I have to take the time to shout out Bryan!!!! He was right there by the tire pressure machine and as soon as we drove through he greeted us with welcoming words and acknowledged our Saturday plans. Just to be so personable and treating us like family is something needed even in a professional setting when you’re dealing with customers! In this community we have to be united and show love even when the times are tough and we go thru different things daily. It was as if Bryan was a family member the way he lead us to knowing the info of the car and keeping it real! Even in small talk he gave great customer service and knowledge of his position and the products and services ! Way to go Bryan your character doesn’t go un noticed. Discount tire should be proud to employ a young bright man like yourself !
I had an experience at Discount Tire on 2927 Southwest Fwy, Houston, TX 77098, that was a mix of absolutely amazing customer service and one disappointing interaction. First, I have to give a huge thank you to Joy and Robert. They were both absolutely incredible in helping me when my tire situation went completely sideways — literally! My missing tire had been accidentally thrown away, and I was worried I’d be stuck with a big problem. But Joy and Robert went above and beyond to help me out. They not only took the time to listen and understand my situation but also worked quickly to get me a whole new tire. Their professionalism, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile truly blew me away. This kind of service is rare, and I really appreciated how much they cared about making things right for me. Unfortunately, my experience with Jack was the opposite. From the start, he seemed uninterested in helping me and gave off the feeling that I was more of a bother than a customer. He ignored me at times and even made a dumb, unnecessary comment that just made me feel unwelcome. It honestly came across like he just didn’t want to deal with me or the situation. Overall, if you go to this location, I highly recommend working with Joy and Robert—they truly made my day and turned a frustrating situation into a positive one. I just hope the management addresses the kind of service I experienced from Jack, because the rest of the team showed exactly how customer service should be done.
