Disappointed to say the least! We have been using Paws of Distinction for over 8 years. Today we had our dog in for grooming, I received a text message from the owner to say our dog was messy and would cost extra. Our dog is booked in every 6 weeks mind you, I asked how much and received a reply that it would be $80 an hour. I replied ok can you please tell me how many hours. They were not able to give me an approx. number. I tried phoning, eventually getting a call back. I expressed my disappointment to be told come and get your dog, and the owner hung up on me. My husband then called to be told by the owner he only speaks to the man of the house! This is when I was utterly disgusted and we have decided he will never receive any money from us again. Where is the customer service????
Took my 5 months old pup in for his first groom today and was a little worried at first. But Paws of Distinction did an awesome job, they were very nice and professional. When I picked up my pup, he was happily waiting for me, he looks great and smells wonderful :)
I have been bringing my VERY fluffy border collie to Amanda and Marlene for a couple of years now. I have always been floored at how spectacular she looks, her coat soft as silk, when she comes out of the salon. I have been through a few groomers in Adelaide, but no one else was able to do this with her coat. Lately my husband has been taking her to work with him and he mentioned that he can't walk 50 paces without someone commenting on how beautiful she is and how she is the softest dog they have ever met. You know how when you go to the hair dresser and they blow dry your hair in such a way that you can never match? This is what these guys can do with your dog. Don't waste your time with anyone else.
Met the assistant while out with my dog, and as a spur of the moment asked about trimming his nails. She was lovely and confident and said they could easily do it in ten minutes. Took Kili in later, he's never had his claws trimmed as they're thick and black, but the ladies were calm and praised him, and it took maybe two minutes for all four paws to be done. Kili was kept at ease and treated very well, so I'm sure we'll be back to give him a proper bath sometime as well as all future nail trims.
