My fiancé and I decided to try this place for the first time because it looked nice. Even the silverware was spotless, and ordering was simple, so our expectations were high. When the food arrived, everything looked great… until I took a bite. I have never had food so bland and tasteless that it actually made me feel sick to my stomach. Even now, I don’t feel well after eating it. I ordered a shredded beef enchilada-style burrito, and it was beyond disappointing. The burrito contained nothing but extremely dry, flavorless meat. The beef had a greenish tint and looked like it had been pulled straight from the freezer, boiled, tossed into a tortilla, smothered in sauce and shredded cheese, then microwaved. No seasoning. No depth. No care. It’s a shame because the presentation and atmosphere gave us hope but the food itself completely missed the mark.
It's a place located in a cute old town Glendale of Arizona with a great story that you will have to read on their menu, also COVID19 survivors, the service I received was friendly and polite but never checked back on me after my food was served. The Hochata was excellent just enough of sweetness to keep it fresh, I am a sauce person, I think the base on their sauces was good but needed a bit more flavor maybe adding a bit more salt or chicken bouillon on them as well as on the Steak with potatoes to bring out the flavor of it. Atmosphere needed some traditional music a bit louder to create a fun environment, and the Christmas Tree was plain and boring, holidays are a great opportunity for businesses to be seen. I will try it again when I am around the area but unfortunately not my favorite.
Our server was Ana Karen, she was awesome and the food was amazing. We will definitely be back.
On June 23rd, they had a one day only special of all entries were $6.23, so we decided to go there. This small little restaurant was packed with customers. I don't think they were prepared for that amount of people. The servers kept their cool and smiles on their faces as they were trying to wait on the tables, deliver the food to the tables, deliver the check and take the payments and clean up the tables for the next customer. I think that they did a pretty good job, under the circumstances 👍 I had a cheese enchilada that wasn't good. It seemed like a thick flour tortilla rolled up with cheese, but not cooked. The rest of the food was fine.
Servers were nice, probably not the most experienced. Food was great! Definitely a great value if you stick to the daily specials and happy hour menu. Tacos were great, enchiladas were too, the burrito was ok but not as good as my other samplings. I definitely would go a 4th time and try more of the menu.
