Elgin fitness is an amazing gym, one of the best I’ve been to, filled with amazing people, great staff, very clean and hygienic.
A really great downtown gym ! I've been going for 3 months now and find the gym to be an excellent value with everything you need to improve your fitness. The owner is available, knowledgeable and helpful if you have questions. Always a clean facility and excellent value for the money. Worth a try !
Some weird things going on here. First off the building is NOT wheelchair accessible, something I thought was illegal for any of the businesses in the building not only for workers but for those needing the facility. So no respect for some of the most vulnerable people as I said I'm not sure if that actually is allowed within the disabilities act. But that says alot about the owners and facility which leaves much to be desired for a very expensive price comparatively which are acceptable to those with mobility issues. I presume it's connected to the building being full of law firms, likewise not acceptable or accessable to those with mobility issues. Staff are clueless and rude. I'm not sure the water is potable having experience in restaurants I can tell when the water source is not fit for human consumption, but then again I feel this business is one of those connected gov nepo places.
Great gym. No frills. Staff is friendly. It's always clean. Even during rush hour you can still get your workout in. They have change rooms and showers onsite too. 10/10 would recommend.
I've been going here for about a year (probably longer) and it's been the best gym experience I've had! 1. You pay monthly or a set number of months, no pressuring you into year-long contracts. 2. The gym is always clean and well maintained. I usually go in the evening and the change rooms and gym it self is always spotless! 3. The front desk staff are always nice to talk to (especially Cassy and Vicky). It makes the gym feel incredibly welcoming and a safe place to be. 4. Yes the gym is small and doesn't have everything but as other comments say, if you are comfortable with free weights you wont have issues. (If not, you can sign up with a personal trainer working there, expensive but worth it (I have to recommend Alex)). 5. The owner is taking covid-19 seriously and has safety measures in place to make sure everyone is safe
