i’m only 1-2 months into my treatment plan with Empower but i am blown away by the care they show! every single person on their team is kind, helpful, and caring! they remember us all by name and it really feels like a family! they do such a great job educating each of their patients about spinal health and chiropractic care, and they help empower your entire health journey (nutrition, mindset, exercise, etc). i have never had a medical experience quite like being a part of Empower (to be honest a lot of my past medical experiences have been negative) and i am so so grateful for them! i’m often very tense, but when i leave after my adjustments, my whole body breathes a sigh of relief. i also appreciate how careful and thorough they are, from doing X-rays before they ever touch you to slowing down and giving gentle adjustments when that’s all the body can handle.
Empower chiropractor is an amazing place to be. The staff and their knowledge is incredible. I have come so far in 5 months I am truly blessed, grateful and thankful for the work the team has put into my health. If you are struggling In any way.. try them out. You won’t regret it 💚💛 GB Hope
My wife and I really wanted to like this Chiropractor because of the friendly staff, chiropractors, and Christian atmosphere but after about a month, we left feeling manipulated, scammed, and taken advantage of financially. We landed on this Chiropractor after hearing testimonials from friends, as well as a presentation made by one of the chiropractors in a birthing class. At the time of our care, my wife was pregnant and had some pregnancy related pain and discomfort. I, on the other-hand, had been struggling for over 10 years with lower back pain. Neither of us had been to a chiropractor before so thought it was worth the try since so many people seemed to report success. Although our first impressions were positive, it became apparent quickly that Empower uses predatory patient onboarding such as 'time-share style' presentations, fear-mongering, unsubstantiated claims, and pressure tactics. In order to enroll, it is required to attend a presentation stating subluxations are responsible for most illnesses, diseases, and pain. They then claim their adjustments will act as a sort-of 'cure-all'. Immediately following the presentation, the team meets you privately with your X-Ray and a laundry-list of problems you have (and the life-long damage that will occur if you don't sign up for the plan). They then give you a few minutes (checking in frequently) to sign off on a 2-4 month plan that will usually cost thousands of dollars. During the onboarding process, we felt like some things were off but also didn't want to write the practice off due to what we perceived were a few 'oddities'. We felt we could trust them since they proclaim to be Christians and appeared to align with our own values. We decided to give the practice a try as they reassured us the plan was fully refundable (for all that we don't use) should we change our minds. Unfortunately, at the time that you sign on, you're given "$500 worth" of non-refundable equipment and supplements. This is followed by a care model that is financially front-loaded where the first adjustments cost exponentially more than those that follow to maximize profit on newly enrolled patients and deter cancellations. For example, I was told that each of my visits would cost $65, however, my earliest visits amounted to $105 after the 5 minute in-office exercise charges were also accounted for (not billed during second half of plan). Due to this, when we cancelled, we were refunded significantly less than expected. As we begin our care and received adjustments multiple times a week, we grew increasingly skeptical as, despite our individual plans (and reason for visit) differing, the adjustments received were nearly identical and lasted only a few minutes. It was also apparent that other patients (who kept their bay doors open) received nearly identical adjustments. Similarly, the exercises they prescribe to each patient in-office and at home showed minimal difference regardless of condition or care plan. All of this raised red flags especially after neither of us left our sessions feeling improvement or relief (and even sometimes feeling worse). After a month of countless visits, seeing unfulfilled promises, and feeling our pockets were being emptied, we decided to cancel our plan. Only then did we realize the extent of the controversies that surrounded MaxLiving and their poor reputation in the Chiropractic community (I encourage you to look this up online as our experience seems very common across locations). Unfortunately, due to their cost structure, although I was only 1/3 of the way through my specific care plan, I recouped less than half of the amounted billed. I would encourage anyone who is looking for a good chiropractor to look elsewhere at a 'non-MaxLiving' facility. If you do decide to still give Empower a try, I would encourage you to look over your care plan carefully, understand the line-items, how the plan costs are front-load and concealed (like inconsistently charging for in-office exercises), and the lack of individual care they provide.
Empower Family Chiropractic is great! I especially appreciated their stemwave treatment that’s helping my plantar fasciitis when nothing else has worked for me. Their technician, Caitlyn, is extremely competent, gentle, a great listener, and treated me like family! So grateful for EFC!
I've had a great experience so far with Empower Family Chiropractic. I am used to the "run of the mill" chiropractors where you come in, say you're hurting, get your back cracked and leave. Empower is unique in the fact they take x-rays first and nerve tests BEFORE they work on you to ensure they are getting to the root cause. Their walls are adorned with success stories and I am confident I will be able to experience similar results. Dr. Mike and his staff are so friendly, don't rush you, ask questions and are passionate about helping you live a pain free life. My favorite question was, "What does success look like for you so we know if we have successfully done our job?" That felt a lot like they are committed to my results, health and pain levels. I'd highly recommend Empower Family Chiropractic.
