The staff is top notch and my 13 year old dog who suffers behavioural issues did great and we got good reports on his interaction with staff. They are very conscientious and ensure that both dog and staff are safe!!
Update: 10 stars if I could!! Scottie spent 7 nights with Escarpment during a recent family vacation. I checked in midweek and got a very prompt and thorough update. I also opted to use the pick up/drop off due to time restraints and I couldn't be happier with the service. The driver Tom is a wonderful man. He arrived promptly in a impressively equipped van and helped me get her into her (very secure, stable and clean) crate. We had very inclimate weather on her return date but I was contacted in advance to explain that there may be a delay due to the road conditions. Tom arrived not much after the originally scheduled time. The payment process was easy and I was provided with a paper copy of the invoice which I was asked to review before paying. Again, I couldn't be more pleased with Escarpment Pet Retreat and am so relieved to have found them. I've recommended them to many and will continue to do so. I am so pleased and relieved to have had Escaprment Pet Retreat recommended to me by a friend. After introductions with the wonderful and attentive staff I left my 11 month old puppy Scottie for her 1st stay at a kennel. As a long time dog owner this was the 1st time I've EVER driven away with absolutely no hesitation - I literally felt as if she was being looked after by family. And no surprise, Scottie was happy as ever when I picked her up after her 2 night stay - we even had a hard time getting her back in the car to go home. She's already looking forward to her next visit with her new extended family!!
Found out about this place through an acquaintance who shared her good experience with her own dog of a similar breed to ours. Decided to check it out for ourselves as we have a dog who doesn't always get along with other dogs, gets anxious, etc. Upon calling the retreat to find out more information initially and before booking, they were incredibly upfront, no BS and told us to show up any time to check out the place/do a tour. I.e. no secrets and hidden surprises. The place itself is clean, staff is friendly and clearly takes pride and care in what they do. Lots of open space outdoors, doggies get walked and played with, fed regularly etc. We left our pup for 4 nights at the end of August and the peace of mind this place provided was top notch! They will send updates within 1-2 hours of you emailing them, with pictures if requested. We knew our pup was in great hands! They also keep a daily report on feeding/bowel movement/any other behavior. Thank you to the EPT team for a fantastic first time experience. Will definitely be back.
Snoopy loves going to escarpment pet retreat. He’s always so happy to be there. The ladies and gentlemen there are always so kind and friendly. I would recommend escarpment pet retreat to my friends and family. It is a great place to leave your best friend when you need a daycare or a place to board your puppy When you’re on vacation. Thanks So much for always being there when we need you, Snoopy loves you.
My DV seemed to have a good time. I am very grateful that they were able to take him in as a last minute booking and the process was seamless. Because he stayed for however many nights, a complimentary bath was provided.
