My daughter loved the trial class so much we decided to join! The staff were very friendly and welcoming to all the first time toddlers. We are looking forward to watching our little girl grow in dance.
My daughter and I are so excited to join the EDAA family. They were very welcoming and nice, gave me all the information I needed and they are very reasonably priced. So much so I signed up our first visit, I also love that they are black owned. They cater to everyone with the classes they provide for all ages kids and adults.
My daughter just started dance here, and she absolutely loves it! She’s never been to daycare and usually only plays with her brother, so I was a little nervous about how she’d do in a group setting. But this class has been amazing for her — I can already see it helping her build confidence and independence. The instructors are patient, welcoming, and make every class so much fun. I’m so happy we found Essence Dance Arts Academy!
What I love most about this ballet class is that there’s no pressure. It’s all about building confidence, coordination, and joy in movement. My toddler went from clinging to me the first week to running into class excited to dance. Such a wonderful experience! 🩰💖

They're not only friendly—they're knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. The tumbling and jazz hip-hop classes looks to be energetic, well-structured, and engaging. You can tell that the instructors go above and beyond to make each child feel confident and capable. What stood out to me is how the instructors treat every child like a star in the making. I'm sure when she walked into class their encouragement and personalized attention helped my daughter feel like a pro, and she will be looking forward to EVERY session.
