Practical and caring advice and guidance. Claudia takes the time to spend with my dog to comfort her, and gives me helpful advice to support my dog through old age, preparing us for the next stage. No unnecessary treatments and costs, just genuine care.
Great location with car park provided for their customers. I went there for second opinion for my dog's upcoming tooth extraction appointment with another vet. Dr Vincent took me through the x-ray and explained everything very thoroughly. The consult fee was reasonable too. The only thing was they didn't have any raised examination bed in the consult room, so we sat on the floor to examine my dog!
We LOVE Evervet very much and always recommend them to our clients without hesitation. They have a gentle and compassionate approach, and we find their examinations are never rushed and always very thorough. Whenever we have questions or enquiries, they are always very happy to answer them and support us in any way. All of their vets are incredible, although our particular favourite is Steph 💖 and Ruby is the best receptionist 💝
I brought my cat Marnie to Evervet for a check-up after she became lethargic and stopped eating. Over the course of three visits (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) and nearly $1k later, I was repeatedly told it was “gastro” and nothing serious, despite her symptoms not improving after being given painkillers, anti-nausea injection and other medications. After the third visit, I was again reassured there was no need for further concern and that taking Marnie to the hospital over the weekend would be unnecessary. I chose to trust my instincts and took her to the emergency hospital on Sunday. There, a second blood test had to be done despite Evervet already conducting one, which they said had to be sent to an external lab for “complete results.” Clearly, those results were not complete, as the hospital was able to diagnose her condition promptly. Marnie was then given a heartbreaking prognosis: she had only hours or days to live. To make matters worse, despite requesting Marnie’s 3 days’ worth of medical records a couple of times -both for myself and the hospital- they were never sent. I genuinely believe the Evervet team failed to provide adequate care. Their dismissiveness and lack of urgency cost me quality Marnie time and potentially compromised Marnie’s comfort also. It’s incredibly disappointing that even a basic internet search pointed to a serious condition based on her symptoms - something trained vets should have recognised far sooner. And yes, I’ll be cancelling today’s 5:20pm appointment. — Following Evervet’s response: I only received a missed call-no text. My request for Marnie’s medical records to be sent to both myself and AVC Kensington was not fulfilled; they were sent to Kew instead. The incomplete blood test may be blamed on the lab, but on two visits your vets missed Marnie’s heart murmur and pale gums-symptoms an AVC vet identified within minutes. I repeatedly asked if she should be taken to hospital for further diagnosis and was told not to worry. If consultation rooms are recorded, feel free to review them.
Dr Claudia & the clinic staff at EverVet Abbotsford were absolutely AMAZING! Fantastic. Cannot rate them highly enough. They managed to keep my cranky old boy safe, calm & happy. They also managed to keep me calm & happy - even though I had been very stressed & distressed lately due to a number of health & other issues impacting me and my old son, Hadrian. Dr Claudia was so kind and empathic, really amazing. She knew immediately that my old dog had increased arthritic pain lately due to Melbourne’s cold weather (dog and I came from balmy Darwin). Hadrian is now on a new arthritis med regime and he’s running around like a damn puppy (he’s 13!) and he’s happy, calm and relaxed. I really can’t thank Dr Claudia and the lovely lovely vet nurse assistant (Ruby) for all their care & clinical excellence. Delighted to have you guys as Hadrian’s new team. He is also delighted. Thank you 🙏👌🏼
