Dr. Shah is so kind and comforting! It’s weird to say I enjoy going to my eye appointment haha. But the team and process is efficient. I never wait. They explain everything in detail! Highly recommend
I want to begin by sharing that Dr. Shah was excellent. She is thorough, professional, has great energy, and explains everything clearly during the exam. I’ve seen her several times and have even referred friends because of the quality of her care. However, my experience during the glasses checkout portion of the visit was disappointing. I’m used to being walked through my insurance benefits, pricing, add-ons, and what is or isn’t covered. Instead, I was immediately asked to pay my copay, and I had to clarify that I was also getting glasses. The staff member assisting me wasn’t rude, but she felt checked out and made several assumptions, as if I should already know the process. I gave her polite feedback, and while she was initially defensive, she ultimately listened and apologized. She explained she assumed I knew everything since I’d been there before. I shared that I only come once a year at most, and I still expect to be guided through the standard steps—especially because insurance benefits and pricing change frequently. The interaction ended respectfully. Unfortunately, as I was leaving, one of the receptionists gave me clear attitude when I said goodbye, signaling she was displeased that I had offered feedback to her coworker. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I stepped outside, sat in my car, and debated whether I should let it go or report the behavior. I decided to go back in. As I re-entered, the same receptionist walked out and again gave me attitude, which led me to feel even more frustration. The situation felt unnecessary and unprofessional. I then asked for contact information for the doctor to formally share my experience, but the staff did not have a clear method for connecting with her. At that moment, the original staff member I had spoken with told me she had actually forgotten to take my measurements, so I needed to sit back down to complete a step that should have been done earlier. Overall, the exam with Dr. Shah was wonderful, but the checkout and front-desk experience left me feeling uncomfortable and dismissed. I’m sharing this in hopes that it can be addressed so future visits reflect the same professionalism and care that Dr. Shah provides.
Eye Capitol has taken care of my vision needs for years and they’re terrific. I love that it’s a small, individual-customer focused clinic. My visits are always seamless—quick but VERY thorough. Dr. Shah seems to know what I’m going to tell her before I sit down! She’s a true professional. I’ve been to the big clinics that do all the advertising, but I’ll take Eye Capitol every time.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had such a wonderful experience at Eye Capital! Dr. Shah was incredibly professional and thorough during my exam, and Amy did an amazing job with my contact lens testing. She was patient, kind, and explained everything so clearly. Ruby at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming, and April was absolutely fantastic in helping me pick the perfect frames. The entire team made me feel comfortable and cared for from start to finish. Highly recommend Eye Capital for their kindness, professionalism, and exceptional service! 👓✨
