Had the best experience with Gormet Goodies at the last wedding I attended. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. They even had enough dessert for seconds!
Food was good but was cold. There were warmers in the kitchen that didn’t seem to get used. The staff was not friendly and complained about everything. They had a large kitchen to work with, which most venues don’t have a caterer friendly kitchen at all, but complained about the prep space. Not sure what else we could’ve done. I wish we found a new caterer with a better attitude. Our venue burnt down a month prior and I felt like as a catering company, they should be used to different locations. Apparently not. Only like catering to Bluegrass Wedding Barn, which burnt down. I paid an extra $600 for servers at my wedding and they were supposed to cut my 3 sheet cakes with different. When I arrived the morning after the wedding, I found a whole cake uncut that was on our menu. A whole flavor did not get served. Spent over $8500 for food & servers. The servers were friendly, but whoever was in charge was not. Was rude to my mother in law and we already had enough stress with having to replan our wedding in less than a month.
Sara was so helpful with any questions we had about the food and menu. The tasting we had before the wedding was very good and she accommodated to the dietary restrictions for our guests. She and her team were very nice and made sure no one left hungry on our big day! Definitely get the scalloped potatoes and yeast rolls!
We hired Gourmet Goodies to cater our wedding as we found them to be reasonably priced. We were very happy with our decision. Thelma, Sara, and the rest of the team gave us great service during and leading up to our wedding. Plus many of our guests complimented the food to us through the night.
Thelma did a great job helping us set up the menu for our wedding. She gave us straight-forward answers to all of our questions, was very responsive to our emails, and chatted with us on the phone several times leading up to the event. Due to COVID, we had to adjust some of the way food was served as well as how we did our appetizers. Thelma and her staff turned a "grazing table" into individual charcuterie plates and put up barriers between the staff serving the food and the guests to make the event feel safer and follow all guidelines available to us. Her timing was fantastic as the food was ready on time without delay. The food was really good, but I think it tasted better at the tasting than it did at the wedding itself. The small wedding cake we had was SO good, and ended up a bit better than the cupcakes, but the cupcakes turned out to be a good sweet treat our guests could mix and match. Overall, we would highly recommend Thelma and Gourmet Goodies for her value and quality experience she brought to us throughout the process.
