We had them install Magnetite window inserts on the inside of our 1947 built home with single pane window. We had them installed to promote insulation, reduce noise and eliminate cold weather condensation on windows. The noise benefits were immediately evident, as we live next to a very busy street. Waiting to see how they impact heating and cooling. The team was professional, supporting and completed the job in a timely manner.
Guy Chipman Construction led the team to replace my roof and paint my house. I am very pleased with the results. However, having gone through a good handful of home construction projects - both on a voluntary and involuntary, emergency basis - I am more interested in the experience of living through the construction and evaluating the contractor based on that experience. I was braced for a lot of pain from this project, but it was way, way less painful than I was braced for. The subcontractors were on time, respectful of my property, and all the work looks professional. Wood was on site frequently to make sure things ran smoothly, he kept good relations with my neighbors, and he addressed concerns and questions timely and respectfully. Construction is not fun to go through, but we easily survived, my house looks 20 years younger, and we had a great experience with Guy Chipman Construction.
Wood and his crews did excellent work. The work required some framing modifications to the roof, stucco repairs, replacement of the concrete tile roof with a metal roof, and painting of the exterior. Good to work with and responsive at every phase of the project.
We rarely give reviews or recommendations but based on the quality of service Wood and his team provided we sincerely thought it was the right thing to do! We observed the quality of work Guy Chipman Construction had provided a family member and decided to contact him. Guy “Wood” Chipman and his team duplicated the effort and then some, going the extra-mile in each area of our home. His team was friendly, humorous, practiced good housekeeping, worked safely, communicated well with my wife and were very punctual. Contact Wood today! I’m confident he will duplicate the type of expertise in all phases of work we were fortunate enough to have received.
We have used Guy Chipman Company for exterior repairs and a major kitchen remodel in our 1930’s home. The kitchen had a small footprint and required several innovative approaches to maximize space efficiency. We really appreciated that Woody listened to us and his dedication to maintaining the historical style of the home. We would highly recommend this trustworthy company.
