I’m always hesitant when having to lodge our baby girl somewhere new. It was such a delight when picking her up recently that she was happy and healthy, she’d been bathed so smelled great! Having peace of mind that she was well looked after especially during the high daytime temperatures made it all worth while having Lily Rose 🌹 stay here. The team was lovely to deal with, and the wee “carers card” was a beautiful touch 🥰 Thank you kindly
We have used Hedgegrove Pet Retreat for our 2 goldies on multiple occasions. They are well looked after and are always happy to go back. The prices are pretty good too. Will definitely continue to use them whenever we go away and can't take the boys with us.
I used Hedgegrove in September 2025 for 18 nights for my labrador Mollie. I did some day care first to get her use to the people and the environment. Each time on day care she had loads of fun. So much so that when I left her there I felt comfortable that she would enjoy the place. I checked in a few times via emails to see if Mollie was okay and each time I received a prompt response about how she was doing. Unfortunately there was a kennel cough outbreak while she was there, but she was very well looked after by staff and I received constant reports about her wellbeing as I was out of the State. Upon picking her up, she was excited to see me, but also didn't want to leave. She was well looked after, well fed and well loved by the look of it. We will be back again for sure.
My cat is my first baby, and an absolute princess, and not really a “cattery” type cat. But, one year when we had no other choice but to use a cattery- we chose Hedgegrove because their staff were so understanding of our cats special needs, and the place had such a warm and caring vibe. Our cat had the best time, and settled in really well- no feeding or toileting concerns at all. I think the staff treated her really kindly and popped by for pats often. We have used Hedgegrove annually since, and she has no anxiety about coming (and neither do I!). Shes in great hands when she comes here. The facilities are super clean compared to other places I looked at, and I like that they do not allow blankets, etc. from home as I feel this helps to keep the spaces more bug free and easier to clean. They were also very specific about the administration and record keeping regarding dispensing my cats medication, feeding, and toilet movements too- which put me at ease. Customer service is also exceptional (particularly for anxious pet mums). Would 100% recommend- your fur baby (even ones with special needs!) is in safe hands here!
Hedgegrove have looked after my cats and dog on numerous occasions for long weekends and for up to three weeks. All of my pets have been very happy to return and have been well cared for when they are picked up. The staff are very attentive to the individual needs of pet and are always welcoming and professional when we check in and out. The cat areas are a reasonable size, compared to other options, and well maintained. Staff take the time to give a report on each animal at pick up and it is extra reassurance that they have spent time caring for them.
