Joseph was incredible to work with. Incredibly warm and personable. He was knowledgeable, in depth and provided great options for us. We had the choice between repair or replacement of our wall oven. We did not feel pressured in our decision making.
Ray showed up promptly and respectful. He appeared very knowledgeable of the business and was able to answer all of our concerns and questions concerning installation and financing. We are scheduled for a new installation of Furnace and A/C and feel very comfortable.
Excellent service today by Jeff from Hoffmann Brothers lining a cracked sewer line. From Matthew who came out to give us the bid and explain the process, to the day the work was done, there was great communication, friendly workers who kept us informed of the process. Got on the schedule quickly, work done in a few hours, explained everything they did. They’ll even wear shoe covers when they come inside! Would definitely use them again! Feels good to have this all done!
Our water heater died and we selected Hoffmann Brothers based on recommendations from neighbors and reviews. We had an early morning appointment scheduled and appreciated the call from the office letting us know the tech was running a little late. We were very happy with the service provided by their technician, Josiah Sheffer. He provided detailed information regarding the different types of water heaters with great explanations including costs. Josiah was able to start the work immediately and was very diligent, including placement of floor and carpet protection. We had hot water by noon that day. We are so pleased by the efficient work and based on this experience, we would use Hoffman Brothers for future services and request Josiah for plumbing work.
If there were a 0-star option, I’d hit it twice and still feel generous. I’ve been a Hoffmann Brothers customer for about a year through their “home protection plan,” and it’s been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had as a homeowner; inflated prices, disorganized communication, and zero accountability. Over the past year, I’ve paid thousands for legitimate work, (furnace repairs in January, an Aprilaire filter system in June, and a $49 diagnostic visit later that month). All properly documented and completed. But my most recent experience crossed the line: I was billed $236 for a visit where no work was performed. Their own technician notes confirm I declined the repair, yet someone added a note claiming I’d been told “hourly labor would apply.” That conversation never happened. I just spent 25 minutes on the phone with their customer service team trying to get someone to read their own notes. I’ve now wasted hours disputing a charge for work they themselves documented as incomplete. Instead of taking accountability, they doubled down and tried to gaslight me into paying for it. Every visit brings new excuses, new upsells, and new “gotcha” charges once they have your card on file. Their left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing, and the customer always pays for their chaos. If you value honesty, integrity, or even your own time, avoid Hoffmann Brothers at all costs. They’ll charge you for work that never happened, then waste hours of your life defending the lie.
