Super friendly staff!!! Francesca was INCREDIBLE and SUPER PATIENT!!!! I am an incredibly nervous person but as soon as I explained my problem to her she talked me through everything reassuring me that everything was going to be just fine. Long story short, my helix was embedding 😭 But again she was very nice and comforting ❤️ She was conversating with me while I waited for my turn explaining and answering all my concerns 😅 She made me feel very comfortable and she also held my hand during the procedure I had done which I truly appreciate🙏🏻 I was literally shaking but she was there talking and telling me it was almost over which really calmed me down 😅 So she is 💯👌🏻the sweetest!!! (Recommended a piercing pillow and saline spray also) Wes was the one who did the helix removal procedure and replaced with a new one, also 💯👌🏻. Super sweet and fast plus it didn't hurt as much as I thought 😅 Explained the entire problem to me as well 🙏🏻 gave me water and waited until I felt better to leave. Overall experience 💯💯💯💯 Will be going back to check my helix again and make sure it's healing properly. Definitely visit if your thinking of getting a piercing 🥳🥳
I came here to get my cheek piercings shortened awhile ago because I moved away from my original piercer, and I immediately regretted it. I let the guy know I only had my cheeks piercings in for about 3 to 4 months and that I was ready for them to get shortened he proceeds to take out my piercings, but he was very aggressive with it, and it hurt!! when I got my piercings shortened with my previous piercer it NEVER HURT! then he puts in a bar that is obviously way way way too short! I had to TELL him "no that’s way too short Can you make it a bit longer?" and he’s asking me how long I want it...and I’m just sitting here like bro you are you the piercer... You should tell me how long I should have it 🤦🏾♀️ and they’re still fresh so I wouldn’t think that I should have the ball digging into my cheek.... So then he changes the bar to a longer bar, which was still too short, but obviously, I didn’t know that because I assumed that he would give me a bar longer cause I said longer, and because he was so aggressive with it literally the next day my cheeks started to swell and the flat back inside my cheek started sinking into my cheek, I didn’t even decide to go back there. I just drove 50 minutes back to my original piercer because I trusted her to fix it, which she did. And it was like $80 for them to just shorten it and I’m just like my other piercer does 15 for each cheek piercing and she’s way gentler and gives me the correct information about my cheek care!! He didn’t even advise me on what I should do and stuff like that. He just swapped it and was like OK bye I was gonna get my nose pierced that day too, but after seeing how aggressive he was and how they didn’t care to give me any advice on my cheeks I was just like yeah I’ll just go get it at my old piercer. maybe they’re good with other piercings, but I don’t think cheek piercings are one of them.
What a great experience! I called this place on a random Sunday and the person that answered the phone was so helpful about getting my nine-year-old daughter ear pierced. My daughter has an allergy to certain metals and the person over the phone assured me that it is a surgical titanium. When we arrive, of course all of the same experience was the same when we got there in person everybody was super nice. Even the person that performed the piercing was a decent human being. He didn’t see me scary he was very calm and relaxed knowing that there was a little girl just trying to get her ears pierced. I really appreciate that. It seemed like a really cared and it wasn’t fake.

Whether you’re walking in for your very first piercing or adding to a well curated collection, the whole shop treats you with genuine respect, care, and zero judgment. The space is spotless, the energy is warm, and the professionalism is unmatched. Everyone here clearly knows their craft, but there’s something extra special about working with Wes. You can always tell when someone is operating on a different level, and Wes brings that combination of deep expertise, precision, and calming presence that instantly puts you at ease. People come in nervous and leave wondering why they ever worried in the first place. The way they explain everything, make sure you’re comfortable, and help you choose the perfect jewelry (the studio’s 14k and 18K gold selection is unreal) feels far above the industry standard. If you want a studio where every person is welcome, every detail is handled with care, and where you can trust you’re in the hands of someone who truly takes pride in doing things the right way. Houston Heights Tattoo is the place. And if you’re lucky enough to book with Wes, you’ll understand why so many people won’t go to anyone else.
This place is hands down the best shop I've been in. I got my tragus done by Wes & a cover-up by Ricardo. They both were very knowledgeable in aftercare. The friendliness was awesome compared to other places. They didn't make me feel stupid or anything about my bad tattoos from the past. Judgment free zone for sure. I highly recommend this place. You will need an appointment for the tats. But the piercings were walk-in. (At least when I came in). Atmosphere was amazing. Music was definitely great if you are an 80s fan. I still have Stevie Nicks in my head. 😂😂 If you have an idea, Ricardo will definitely draw it up for you, and help you figure out placement. The colors are beautiful. Very hygienic. Go get tatted. You won't regret it. (The jewelry is a lil on the expensive side, but its quality 👌🏻) They also offer tattoo touch-ups if needed.
