Could not be more disappointed and frustrated with a business. We left our RV with them for 2 weeks with the agreement that the maintenance would be finished at an agreed upon time and price. When we showed up to pick it up and start our trip the work wasn't started. We waited 4 hours while the work was completed then inspected. It was 20% higher then the quoted price when we came to pay, when we questioned it we were told it took longer then anticipated and nothing could be done. It was just basic maintenance and we were more concerned with starting our trip than the extra $150. We drove off there lot and within a mile of leaving the engine started over heating. We limped back to Houston RV with no power steering and engine lights flashing to find out they did not install the oil plug properly and we lost 5 quarts of oil in that short distance. Luckily there was an oil trail from where they had brought our RV from so they did take responsibility for replacing the oil and installing the plug properly which ended up talking another couple of hours. At this point we finally got out of there in late afternoon rush hour after showing up at the 9 am agreed upon time. After our trip and heading home up north we stopped to winterize as the temperature was going below zero that night. One of the other services we had Houston RV do was to decalcify the Truma on demand hot water heater. We came to find out the on demand hot water heater filter could not be removed. They would have had to remove it when they did the service. Even when taking it to another RV dealer (national chain), they were not able to remove it. After discussing with Truma the only option was replacing it. During this time we were dealing with a manager from Houston RV. He mentioned they have had a hard time with the employee who worked on our RV and he was fired. He was trying to help for awhile but we ended up having to deal with one of the owners, Micheal, when the repairs to fix their mistakes were over $2000. Through our dealings with Michael we could have not been more disappointed. He acknowledged they were responsible for the problem but we couldn't prove it because we drove it off the lot. He also mentioned if it wasn't such an expensive fix he would have honoured it. I was shocked with his attitude, he expressed he's had many upset customers, quite frustrating dealing with a business that doesn't care about their shoddy work. We have since found trust worthy service centers and feel we should warn others of having their RV's serviced at Houston RV.
We had a major issue with our RV roof due to a manufacturing defect and were honestly dreading the process of getting it fixed. Thankfully, we found Houston RV Repair and they completely turned the situation around for us. They handled everything with the warranty company from start to finish. We didn’t have to lift a finger or deal with any of the usual back and forth. The communication was clear and professional the whole way through, and they kept us updated every step of the way. The roof replacement was completed in a very respectable amount of time and the quality of the work is absolutely top notch. You can tell they take pride in what they do and stand behind it. Highly recommend Houston RV Repair to anyone needing quality work and a stress free experience. They really went above and beyond for us.
We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of service that we experienced from Houston RV Repair. The whole staff was amazing, but a special shout out to Cruz who was our point of contact. They were able to hunt down some hard to find parts and get our motorhome back on the road. We would 100% recommend them!
We are very disappointed with their services. We took our RV for an engine light issue. Their service was only on the chassis, not in the interior of the RV. We agreed on the price and paid them for their services. We trust them with our unit. When we picked up our unit on 08/15, we noticed a foul smell coming from our bathroom. We noticed they had used our bathroom without authorization. We notified them the day after 08/16 about this issue. They offered to sanitize the unit, and we were going to get this done unfortunately during the weekend, we were getting ready to use our RV to travel, and our generator did not work. We inspected and noticed that the generator and the electrical compartment door were forced open. We also noticed our electrical cord was used since it was filthy with mud. We spoke to Michael, owner. We wanted to get to the bottom of this. We asked him for a reason his staff used our unit. Instead of him listening to our concerns, he was getting agitated and did not make the situation any better. Highly advised to read ALL reviews. We decided not to get our unit sanitized by them, nor did we receive an apology. Our property was used without our consent, and no one should ever experience this. This will be our first time with this awful experience and definitely our last. Do your research and don't make the same mistake.
I was out-of-state and broken down. They were so helpful and willing to work with my schedule. They did excellent work and saved me a lot of cash by working with my warrenty company. Their prices were reasonable. The most impressive thing was the consistent culture of excellent customer service skills practised by ALL employees. Jonathan, Michael, and Montana were especially polite, kind, thorough, and professional. I highly recommend these fine people!
