We have visited Dr. Carlson with our late collie Nellie, and now again with our Boston Terrier Tank, since the Morningside location opened around 2002 and we cannot praise his practice enough. Dr. Carlson takes his time diagnosing each animal he sees, and he never takes shortcuts. He is also great about communicating, even if that means calling or emailing you back after hours. He is a very experienced and skilled vet, and usually can pinpoint what's wrong with a pet quickly and accurately. We've had other vets from emergency clinics (St Francis, Blue Pearl) misdiagnose our pets and prescribe medications that turned out to be completely wrong and/or caused very bad side effects - even after spending lots of time and money at their hospital. Dr. Carlson cares and it shows. We also love Dr. Abigail Huggins, who sees our Australian Heeler (see my other review about Dr. Huggins). We are so fortunate to have both the IAH Morningside and Midtown practices in our neighborhood. Thank you Dr. Carlson and staff!
Dr. Carlson and team have carried for two dogs for us (current one is 14.5 years old). From the person who answers the phone to the techs to the team of doctors, they are all helpful, friendly and professional. Listening well, following up to check in, never rushing you .... I highly recommend!
We have had a great experience with Dr. Hale at Intown animal hospital in midtown. It’s easy to schedule appointments. The doctor, techs, and front desk staff are all super friendly, easy to communicate with and responsive. We have had great care, and have always felt like our concerns for both our cat and dog are heard and responded to with great attention to detail. In particular the process to support our puppy with some anxiety has been thoughtful and cautious while also listening and responding to needing changes. We have seen Dr Hale for our puppy but have also seen different doctors for our cat—who is scrappy and hard to get in for care. They are always patient with us, and gave me no issues for needing to reschedule last minute when we couldn’t find my cat who spends most of his time outdoors. If you live nearby, this is a convenient and wonderful place to take your pet. If you have to travel further, parking in midtown promenade is not the greatest, so plan in advance. The care from the doctors is worth it! **they aren’t an emergency facility with X ray capabilities. So once we called with a potential broken bone on our cat and we were referred out.
I have taken my cat to 3 different vets and Dr Hale stands out immensely for her great care and the time she takes to answer all of my questions. She goes the extra mile to deliver high quality care to my cat and I am so thankful I found her! The staff are amazing and all so kind, truly cannot get a better vet than this place!!!
We had an exceptional experience at Intown Animal Hospital. From the moment we arrived, the team was kind, attentive, and professional. Dr. Hill was especially wonderful—thorough, compassionate, and clearly invested in providing the best care possible. She quickly identified the issue, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made the entire process feel calm and reassuring. It’s rare to find that combination of expertise and genuine kindness. We’re so grateful to have found such a caring veterinary team.
