Tony is hands down the best! From our first meeting, Tony took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, and worked with me to create a beautiful cover up tattoo. On the day of getting the tattoo, he was incredibly patient and gentle, and took the time to create something very special for me. Thank you Tony, I’ll definitely be back! :)
I reached out to Jinx via their website in August to add to an existing tattoo. They responded within a day and assigned me to Nico for a consultation and appointment. Not only was Nico super nice, he created multiple design options for me and amended them during the appointment to make sure we had the perfect fit. He did fantastic work and really cared about making sure we got something I was happy with. It’s the best tattoo experience I have had in DC and I definitely intend to go back to him and Jinx!
I had such a great experience at Jinx! I’ve been three times—once to get my ears pierced and the others to get my first tattoo. Andrea and Nico were the consummate professionals, very chill, and beyond pleasant to work with. My tattoo is exactly what I wanted and I’ve gotten so many compliments thanks to Nico and my ears look fly thanks to Andrea!
Could not recommend Jinx more!! I’ve gotten 6 tattoos from artists here and they all turned out perfect. David and Tad are crazy talented. They have expertise in technique and traditional tattoo styles, and versatility and artistry to accommodate diverse styles as well. The whole staff is so friendly and kind, especially Amy at the front desk! Great experience always 🤟
They accepted us as a walk in Sunday night around 7pm ish. About a 30 min wait and we got our designs quickly printed off and paperwork signed. Quoted for mine as it was like a 1.5 inch design at $150 but shop has a min of $100 so I wasn’t super shocked. What we were somewhat shocked at was my girlfriend’s design maybe about 3 inch grape hyacinth design that was fairly simple but at $200. It would be one thing if it was heavy in design but she was done in 15 minutes. We still went through with it but a little more than we were expecting. Mine was brought down to $125 as it only took maybe 10 mins to do mine. Both prices not including tip. Very nice and chatty workers and they had a handful of people come through while we were waiting for each other. I liked the design of the shop and all their flashes on the walls. As a California resident it’s interesting to see the different standards on tattoo preparation and sanitation compared to back home. Happy with my design!
