Excellent Chinese restaurant with consistently fresh, flavorful dishes and generous portions. Everything we ordered was hot, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. The menu offers a great variety of classic favorites and house specialties, making it easy to find something for everyone. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food was ready quickly. A reliable spot for both dine-in and takeout — we’ll definitely be back.
Tried the Samgyetang and Eun-Daegu and both were incredible and truly authentic! This place is such a hidden gem and definitely gives that hole in the wall vibe in the best way. You can really tell the owners care deeply about the food they serve and take pride in their dishes. I love that they only have four items on the menu, it shows how confident they are in their specialties. I’m already planning to come back the next time I’m in LA!
Went to 5 other very popular korean restaurants on this trip and this place had the best korean food we tried. Coming from NJ Bergen county, we thought we had good korean food but this area is on another level. The Samgyetang and black cod was insane, didn’t talk because it was that good. Super hole in the wall, only has 2 tables for dine in but Jeff was extremely nice and hearing his story was inspiring. Must try korean food in LA
The phrase “hidden gem” gets overused a lot in LA but there’s no other way to describe this place. Called ahead to reserve one of the two tables, and while on the phone the owner Jeff asked if we’d like to put the order in on the phone so they could start cooking it since it takes about 30 minutes to make. We arrived about 20 minutes later and he greeted us warmly and sat us down, quickly bringing out the banchan followed by white rice and ginseng soup to start. After a little while the main event, the galbi jjim came out, and Jeff cut it all up and took out the bones table side while chatting with us. It was absolutely delicious in every way. Less sweet than the version at a more popular local place that we’ve been to before. Perfectly balanced. Such a great price for a massive portion, with above and beyond hospitality. Jeff, you’re the man!
One of the best no-frills restaurants i have ever been to. Just amazing food and nothing to distract from it. Had the dakdori tang, was surprised that it was a whole chicken so bring a friend to eat with you. All of the portions seem to be made for two. Although I would not want to share any of the two year fermented radish so over to you. I am pretty sure I will have leftovers for maybe 2 meals. It’s rated as a Michelin spot and you can see why. I will definitely come back. I want to try the braised beef next time.
