I've now realised that a talented seamstress actually plays the most important part to your dress being perfect as most dress shops send you away wishing you good luck without the after care of fittings. Laura is so skilled and I'd recommend her to anyone, the environment for fittings was lovely, spotless and relaxed. When I picked my dress up, it was too small despite me not changing size much. I was so thankful I had my appointment with Laura immediately after picking it up as I was feeling disheartened and worried. Laura immediately made me feel at ease, her knowledge was so apparent that I had no worries for her unpicking the stitching on my dress straight away. Laura made my dress fit unbelievably perfect even with the lack of material she had to work with. She added cups so I didn't have to worry about any other support or boost, advised poppers as opposed to a Bustle as the material of my dress was thick which worked so well and ribbon loops so I could hold the train of my dress (I used all these options on the day!) Thank you so much again Laura for making me feel so excited to wear my dress on my wedding day and for making it practical to enjoy the day to the max!
There are not enough words to describe how amazing Laura is at what she does. When my dress arrived, it had to be pinned to me so I could get an idea of what it would look like as it was far too big due to weightloss. I found Laura online and messaged her and she immediately put me at ease. You don’t expect to be told that your dress will need to be taken apart and rebuilt less than a month to go before your wedding and each time I tried it, something else needed doing. Laura remained patient each time the dress did not behave as expected. Each time I doubted myself or sent panicked emails, Laura listened and then provided advice and was even able to achieve the bustle I wanted despite that also a bit of a nightmare. I got married on Friday and felt exactly as I imagined I should as a bride and that’s all down to Laura - I got so many compliments on the dress and the people who knew about the situation couldn’t believe it had ever been taken apart. Fantastic service from start to finish. The time & effort put into making my dress perfect really did pay off! Laura was super friendly and welcoming & the environment where I did my fittings was spotless.. Laura’s communication was great throughout, she was honest and helpful with her advice & she really did go above and beyond with ensuring my dress was perfect for my big day. My experience working with Laura to perfect my wedding dress was amazing. Laura reassured me throughout the whole process and nothing was ever too much to make sure it fit perfectly and to ensure I felt my best on our big day!
I would highly recommend Laura for wedding dress alterations. I bought my dress abroad when I was on holiday however it was a bit too small. Laura came up with a couple of different suggestions for how we could alter / reshape the dress in the initial consultation and priced the different options. She did an amazing job altering the dress so it fit perfectly! Communication was great throughout the process and Laura was very friendly and professional.
