One of the worst experiences of my life. Very poor management. Everything is dirty, service is slow, and you wonder if anyone even works there. They definitely don’t know what’s going on. When I walked in the door they have 5 or 6 computers to register. 1 was working and the manager was standing there watching the line back up and doing nothing about it. Final got through the line and ordered my sone some chicken tenders. Waited for 30 minutes then went up to the counter to see if it was ready. They try to give me an order that wasn’t mine and didn’t even know what I ordered. They said it would be another 30 minutes. So we decided to go ahead and ride the go carts while we waited. Got to the go karts and the person said it was a two hour wait and couldn’t believe the person at the counter didn’t let us know this. Which they didn’t at this point frustrated. Decided to go up and Manager. Told the manager everything that was going on. And he decided to kick me and my son out saying I was being irate because I was complaining about the service. Before that went to the bathroom, there’s no toilet paper or paper towels. I will never go back to this place again and I suggest you shouldn’t either. I would give it no stars if that was an option. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I reached out to the corporate headquarters and no one even responded.
We were in town did a Santa trip and had a blast leaving Kalahari to race! To get to the first lap seemed to take forever, but we must have arrived for the Junior laps right when the other group was going. After that first lap though, we raced pretty quickly for our other to races. The boys actually said they liked it better than Andretti’s!
We went for my son's birthday and had the best time! The staff was wonderful, races were a blast, the food was delicious especially the pizza and chicken strips and the facilities were nice and clean. We can't wait to go back!
So before posting, I filled out there survey and asked for a response back, to see if they could make some things right but no one got back to me. Went for my kiddos birthday, we spent a hefty amount that day paying for everything. The facility was disgusting. The ac was broken, it was a balmy 88(saw the thermostat) with no ventilation. Bathrooms, water fountains, arcade, were all in neglect. Chemicals just left for kids to grab, soap dispenser empty, toilet seats nasty. When brought up to the staff, they were like okay, we will get someone on it(they never did). We were told a time we would be on the track, 2 hours past the time, we were still waiting. I asked several employees if this was normal for a Saturday, and all three people said yes, they hate working weekends because it's always like this. When we finally did race, the track staff were just off in there own world. I tried to resolve this out of a review but no luck, they've also gotten plenty more 1 stars since I've gone and they're all kinda saying the same.
K1 Speed is a professional, well-run outfit and being indoors makes it a perfect choice for summer daytime racing in Texas. The karts are well-maintained, and the slick concrete track is fantastic practice for almost any class of kart racer. My only critiques are that the karts seem inconsistently governed—certain individuals, often those known to the staff or bringing their own helmets, appear to achieve noticeably higher top speeds—and the wait time between heats can feel long if you’re eager to re-race. Overall, it’s a great facility with quality equipment and a track that delivers both fun and valuable driving experience.
