If you’re looking for amazing plants, beautiful bonsais, and a place where you can actually ask questions, especially if you’re just starting your plant parent journe. I can’t recommend this spot enough! The staff is always incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help. My sisters and I come here all the time, and it’s our go-to place for both home and office plants. We’ve never left disappointed. The best part is that after picking out your new little green friend, you can walk around Japantown, try some great Japanese food, and explore so much more. It’s always a great experience all around 🌿
I don't have a green thumb, but my girlfriend does. On the other hand, I am enamored by the art of bonsai. Katsura Garden is a beautiful store. Dense from floor to ceiling with gorgeous plants of all shapes and sizes, as well as supplies, and clearly tended by a shopkeeper who cares about the stock. The bonsais themselves ranged in size and price, from a few inches to several feet, and $20 to $2,000. Some beautiful specimens that must have taken years to shape. I did not buy a bonsai because I would accidentally kill it. But my girlfriend bought a nice little spider plant, and we are both happy :)
Thank you Ritz, I was consistently impressed by your exceptional customer service. Notably, she wrapped my bonsai starters securely for my return flight, ensuring their safety during the journey. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an affordable, aesthetically pleasing, and knowledgeable experience.
Such an adorable little plant shop. Beautiful healthy selection of plants. Store and plants are well cared for. Plants are displayed well and easy to see and reach. Shop is smaller and narrow, so keep that in mind. Not great for little children as they will want to grab the plants (but shouldn't). Every plant lover gotta visit!
This place is heaven for plant lovers! It's a cute small shop in the Japan Center that's run by a sweet Japanese lady. I have to stop by every time I'm in Japantown, to do some plant shopping and/or to admire all the amazing plants. They have a little bit of everything. A wide selection healthy plants, from beautiful bonsais and orchids to both common and rare houseplants! Some of the really rare plants are not for sale and only for viewing. I love to look at the huge monstera Thai constellation in the back. Its leaves are massive and gorgeous! They also have a big selection of decorative planters and other plant supplies in the back. It's the perfect place to visit for any plant need.
