Shannon is AMAZING and a huge reason why our wedding day in June 2025 was such a perfect day. Among so many other qualities, Shannon is professional, kind, and detail-oriented. Throughout our planning process, we were constantly amazed with her superb recommendations and insightful guidance. Shannon took the time to get to know us and learn our vision, which is was key to building trust and delivering a personalized plan. She has incredible design skills, and we had so much fun working with her and Amanda of the Gathering Event Company (another fabulous vendor we would recommend!) to curate the most beautiful design for our day. Leading up to the day, Shannon ensured that our vendors and bridal party were coordinated and knew the plan. No one had to text or call us with any last minute questions—she had everyone organized! On our wedding day, Shannon’s professionalism and expertise truly shined. She executed everything to perfection and allowed us to be present for the entire day. We knew that if anything went wrong (which it didn’t!), we could trust her to lead us through it. Our guests and bridal party also remarked how helpful, sweet, and organized she was, which in turn allowed them to relax and enjoy the day. Shannon is one-of-a-kind and best in the business. Please do yourself a favour and hire her—you will not regret it!
Oh boy... where do I begin. I cannot be more thankful and grateful to Shannon. From the very beginning, Shannon took the time to truly understand our vision and she transformed it into something more magical than we ever could have dreamed. Every detail was thought through with care—from the timeline, to the décor, to the little touches that made our day feel so personal. What really stood out was how stress-free the entire experience was. Planning a wedding is overwhelming for a bride, but Shannon handled everything with such calm professionalism that I was able to just focus on enjoying the day. Our guests were blown away by how beautifully everything came together. Even though our celebration was small (30 ppl) it never felt “less than.” If anything, it felt more special—intimate, elegant, and perfectly us. That’s a true testament to the talent and heart Shannon puts into her work. If you’re considering a micro-wedding (or any wedding at all), I EMPHATICALLY would recommend Kennedy Event Planning. If you are looking to make the wedding planning process much easier on yourself, have fun while planning, and be able to completely relax and enjoy your wedding day without any stress, do yourself a favour and hire Shannon! Simply put, Shannon was absolutely wonderful to work with. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable about the wedding industry, organized, and communicative, Shannon is a ray of sunshine and brought enthusiasm and positivity to every meeting. Our wedding day went off without a hitch and countless people, from our wedding party to our parents, commented on how great Shannon was. If there were any issues, my husband and I were unaware - everyone knew how to reach her and she was on it. She flawlessly executed everything behind the scenes, from coordinating with our vendors to queuing our MCs and speakers. She made sure that every detail and aspect of our day was absolutely perfect and had our best interests at heart. I would recommend Shannon to anyone I know without hesitation. She made the planning process a joy and it was a true pleasure to have her part of our special day!
Shannon was an incredible wedding planner from start to finish. We decided to get married during a very busy time of our lives, so we knew we would need an expert to make it happen, while limiting the extra stress on us. Shannon delivered exactly that. She carefully assembled an expert team of wedding vendors who made our day absolutely perfect. She took the time to get to know us (and our dog) so that she could easily make all the decisions we wanted her to make for us. Not only did she make wedding planning easy, low stress, and flexible for our busy schedules, we also had a lot of fun together and loved spending time with her. She planned an absolutely gorgeous wedding, perfectly tailored to us. Her presence on the day of (and the rest of her superstar team of vendors) meant we didn’t have to worry about a single thing, we just got to have fun with all our friends and family. If we had to do it again, Shannon would always be the first person we’d call.
I would definitely recommend Shannon to a couple planning their wedding of any size! It was a breeze working with Shannon on my micro-wedding. She was able to help us organize a traditional style wedding with a lot of cultural elements with 5 weeks of notice! The constant reminders and status updates made us feel looped in the process. Both my wife and I, are not residents of Ottawa but the wedding took place there. We had a lot of doubts of how to plan a wedding in a different city but Shannon made sure to set up everything perfectly with all the venders without us having to be worried about anything. From decor to venue and everything in between, she had amazing recommendations for each item on our list and took care of booking, logistics and timeline. Communication was excellent on her end. She is a very warm and enthusiastic person. I honestly think it would not have been possible to have my wedding in a short time without Shannon’s help and expertise.
