We recently joined KiCK and are very impressed with the program and instructors. Tiffany and TJ are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming. We are looking forward to continuing our son's journey with KiCK!
My 5-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son have been attending taekwondo classes at KiCK for several months now, and we have nothing but positive things to share! The instructors are kind, caring, professional, and top-notch. They always wrangle these young, wiggly kids better than I have ever seen other teachers do! They teach good character first, physical wellness and health second, and a close third of taekwondo skills (at the Little Kickers class). I'm so impressed every time we walk through the doors at the energy, enthusiasm, and care the staff shows all the children who attend. It's worth every penny and my children love going. Their flexible attendance schedule is also the best thing ever! You don't have to pick a single time to come every week, you can join any of the 6 classes each week, whenever works in your schedule. It's fantastic! Thanks to Ben, Tiffany, and TJ for creating such a wonderful organization.
We signed up for the free trial class for our 7 year old daughter and instantly loved the place. The instructor we had was great with kids and made the class a lot of fun for them. It was fast paced yet stayed on track while actually teaching them things, and the kids looked to be having a blast. Our daughter is usually pretty shy but she opened up pretty quickly and even volunteered to be used in an example of the next task, which is very unlike her when she's new to a situation! We had tried out another studio earlier in the week and while it was fine, this one was night and day difference in the atmosphere. We had no qualms at all about signing her up before we left that day. Wonderful studio, would definitely recommend!
KiCK teaches my boys more than taekwondo and self defense. At the start and end of each class, they do their Character Count and call off the five character traits they use as pillars of instruction: self control, compassion, integrity, humility, and perseverance. Each month, they focus on one specific trait and talk about it a little during each class. This past summer, we were driving to my father’s 80th birthday celebration and talking about what we would say when it was our turn to honor him. I recalled that I inherited his endurance and learned perseverance from him. I wondered out loud the differences between those two: endurance and perseverance. I admitted I could not really explain it and should probably look it up. My younger son spoke up. He said he knew the difference. Endurance is how much you can physically take, like how far you can go. Perseverance is making the decision to keep going, even when it gets hard. Endurance is physical. But perseverance is a character trait. He learned that from KiCK. ♥️ KiCK provides my boys a place where they grow in body and character; it is a community where they grow friendships and learn leadership through a spectrum of classmates, teammates, and instructors. My boys have been there for over four years and are better kids because of it.
Kick has done amazing with Asher, I have watched him grow tremendously with confidence within himself, and learn to listen and actually have a goal as the kid with the fastest feet and to become a Ninja. He has lesson with Mrs Tiffany, along with the classes he also takes with each instructor. Thank you for the best times of his life and watching him grow from this is awesome.
