David was very thorough with our dog’s training and debriefing us on her newly-learned skills. You can really tell when a trainer has a passion for sharing his training skills and making sure the dog goes back to an environment where those skills are consistently reinforced. He is genuinely awesome at what he does and we couldn’t be happier with everything we learned from him during the handover.
I sent 2 of my dogs for the training program. One stayed for 2 weeks and the other for 3. Pete & Olivia were fantastic, so knowledgeable, friendly & supportive & you can see their love for dogs. I received daily video snippets of our dogs & both Pete & Olivia rang to provide verbal updates as well as written. The handover sessions were very helpful. After “checking out” the dogs, Pete & Olivia sent follow up emails too. Our dogs have definitely changed for the better but of course a lot would depend on us to practice & continue to train the dogs at home. A solid foundation has definitely been set. Would highly recommend.
Our girl Buffy stayed at Kip for a 3-week board and train program November/December. She has never stayed in a kennel before and can be quite an anxious girly, so it was nerve wracking, but she warmed instantly to the trainer at the initial handover and on pick up with Buffy’s new best friend, David, she was so comfortable and had clearly been shown a lot of love during her stay. We can see a lot of improvements in Buffy’s training and her confidence is gaining now with the new tools Kip helped implement.
My dogs, Jasper and Rusty, have just spent the last 3½ weeks at Kip Homestead for boarding and training, and I couldn’t be happier with the care they received. From the very beginning, handlers David and Bec were warm, professional, and genuinely invested in my boys’ wellbeing. Throughout their stay, Jasper and Rusty were not only looked after beautifully but also made fantastic progress in their training. David and Bec took the time to understand each dog’s personality and needs, and it really showed in the results. They kept me reassured, updated, and confident that my dogs were in the best hands possible. I’ve come home to two happy, calmer, and more responsive dogs—and that is absolutely invaluable. I can’t thank Kip Homestead, David, and Bec enough for their dedication and the love they showed Jasper and Rusty. Highly recommended to anyone seeking exceptional boarding and training. I’ll definitely be trusting them with my dogs again.
Amazing! We booked our Border Collie Gus in to the Board and Train Program and it was been remarkable. The care the team took of him whilst we were away shone through in all the updates we got; he was so happy throughout his training and play sessions. David worked with Gus during the program. David is phenomenal. You can clearly see how passionate and enthusiastic he is about the care, training and education for these pups (and us). We can’t thank David enough for looking after our boy so well and supporting us throughout this journey.
