Words can’t describe how grateful I am to have found La Encantada! I’ve taken salsa classes here and there over the years, but it never really stuck. I’ve always dreamed of being able to dance salsa, and honestly I never thought I’d get there. But at La Encantada I’m actually improving. I still can’t believe it. The teachers are so encouraging and they really believe in you so you start to believe in yourself 😭. Each teacher has their own style and I learn something different from all of them. Daniel and Vanessa helped me so much when I first started, and I’m really grateful for them. The culture that Elysia and Carlos have created is amazing. It starts from the top and shows in the students. Everyone is encouraging, humble, respectful and just genuinely good people. I’ve made some wonderful friends here, and it really feels like a real community. Joining La Encantada has honestly been one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself, and I’m so thankful for this school!
La Encantada have some of the best teachers in Melbourne. The beginners salsa classes with Connie and Daniel are super welcoming and fun. Likewise, the foundations classes with Daniel, Vanessa, Carlos and Elysia are very informative and teach you the groundwork on how to advance in your salsa moves. Highly recommend this dance studio
LEC is the school that will nurture your efforts and enable you to truly reach your goals. Lead by two of the most incredible dancers and humans, the culture they set radiates through the rest of the teachers, who then also bring their own individual brilliance. For instance, Daniel and Vanessa's Foundations class has helped bring joy and playfulness into my dance. Whilst I am prone to looking at the floor and keeping my movement small and careful, it's impossible to stay this way when they bring so much energy, joy and acceptance. I believe I will continue in this class even when I have long surpassed its level. Similarly, any class with Constanza reminds me to always dance for joy. I cannot express my gratitude for the existence of this school.
I have been taking Daniel and Vanessa's Foundations class at LEC for a while now. I must say it has been a truly transformative experience! Their passion and dedication create a warm, supportive environment that makes every class enjoyable. They’re also extremely funny, which adds to the fun and excitement. I’m so grateful for the LEC community and the friendships I’ve made along the way. I highly recommend this class if you want to grow as a dancer! Thank you, Daniel and Vanessa (and LEC), for making dance such a joyful part of my life!

The atmosphere is welcoming no matter your level – whether you’re a complete beginner or have danced for years, you’ll feel at home. The music, the energy, and the community spirit make it so much more than just a dance school – it’s a place to connect, grow, and really enjoy yourself. Highly recommend to anyone looking to learn, improve, or simply fall in love with dance!
