I had an overall great experience with lace & liberty in creating my wedding dress! I will say, because my dress was inspired by another dress, I wish I had been able to go through the sketching and planning process like other brides, but unfortunately was unable to. I worked with Nancy who was very kind and patient with my vision, as my dress had some complex ruching I was very particular about, and she did some great mockups and sat with me through a LOT of video calls, haha. I initially had a bit of a hiccup with the process, as the first dress they showed me as part of their progress photos was different from what I had communicated. Some important details were missed. I was understandably very disappointed by this and even made several rounds of markups to show what I wanted. There was a lot of back and forth. I was a bit frustrated by this. Thankfully, the team was fully understanding of my feelings and offered to make me a new dress from scratch, and did not charge me for the initial version. The new dress they made was beautiful and fit me perfectly. In hindsight, I would have communicated better in the initial meeting before the mockups and drafting began as to what I was looking for, and I think it would have helped the process a lot more. If you're looking for a "replica" of a certain dress, and you're super detail focused, this may not be the right service for you. They can make a similar dress with similar vibes and feelings but it will not be a 1-for-1 copy. Overall very satisfied with the outcome, though it did take a bit to get there in the end, and I sincerely thank the team for going out of their ways to make things right.
It was such a pleasure creating the custom wedding dress of my dreams at Lace & Liberty with Ali and Joy. I tried on so many dresses at all of the wedding dress stores and had an idea of what I wanted but never found "the one." Then I went to my local wedding dress store, Lace & Liberty, in Noe Valley and was able to create the "the one" with their help. I actually ended up getting two dresses at a discount and probably paid less for 2 dresses than I would have paid for one at one of the other wedding dress shops I tried on dresses at. If you have a vision of what you want but can't seem to find it at any of the "regular" wedding dress shops, I highly recommend Lace & Liberty to create the wedding dress/es of your dreams that NO ONE ELSE will ever wear but you (unless of course you give your dress to your daughter, etc. lol). I got so many compliments on my dress and I was so proud to tell everyone that I designed it myself (but technically with the help of Ali and Joy of course).
I am a younger dramatic bride so I was looking for particular elements in terms of my dress and Nancy was able to bring it to life for me! It was a journey but we made it happen the dress was perfect!

I simply cannot say enough about what a relaxing, beautiful, and fun experience it was to shop at Lace & Liberty for my wedding dress. Going in, I didn't have a 'dream dress' in mind so the process seemed daunting but Ali made the experience SO peaceful and no stressful. She gave me the opportunity and encouragement to try on all different styles of dresses so I didn't rule one style out too quickly. I left with two different dresses in mind but certain that I would return. I came back a few months later with a different dress in mind that I saw on their website. Ali gave the PERFECT suggestion of some customization options that meshed both styles i was considering together to create my very own dream wedding dress. I simply could not have done it without Ali's patience and creative guidance. The custom dress fit me absolutely perfectly and was an absolute fraction of what a custom dress would cost elsewhere. I could not have asked for a more perfect experience. And they allowed all my favorite ladies to come with me to make it a party! We had the BEST time and I will forever cherish the experience I had at Lace & Liberty.
