DO NOT COME HERE, especially for first time parents. During our initial visit, the physician we saw, name goes by either Dr. Singer or ( Elizbeth Stringer) she was dismissive and spoke to us in a condescending manner when we asked questions about the recommended vaccine schedule. As new parents, we were not refusing care-we were seeking clarification. Dr. Singer stated that if we did not proceed with all recommended vaccines, we would not be able to be seen at the clinic and would need to be escorted out, which immediately made the experience feel hostile and unwelcoming. Our follow-up was scheduled for Christmas Eve based on clinic availability, without consideration for our family schedule or allowing time to discuss timing between spouses, and as that doctor mentioned “ they don’t have time for selective parents choosing when their kids got vaccines.” Again Regardless of where one stands on vaccines, the way she communicated it in a way that felt coercive, dismissive, and lacking compassion. It felt like There was no room for discussion, informed consent, or respectful dialogue - especially inappropriate when dealing with new parents seeking guidance, not threats. The visit was further impacted by a very stressful parking garage situation. No ticket was issued upon entry, and when we attempted to exit, it was blocked and the garage attendant yelled at us and threatened to call the police over payment confusion, demanding our credit card to charge us $75. This was only resolved after contacting customer service, and they notated that no one should be yelling at anyone. We returned one final time the following week solely to proceed with one vaccine and informed the clinic that we would be transferring care. At that time, we were explicitly told that all insurance information had been verified and was on file. Despite this, weeks later we received a full-price bill for both visits and the vaccine. We called our insurance and Our insurance confirmed that no claim had been properly submitted by the clinic, even though our insurance card had been scanned and documented. Given everything that occurred, the failure to submit insurance after confirming it was verified felt unnecessary and avoidable. Overall, the experience was disorganized, unprofessional, and lacking in compassion. We transferred care elsewhere and would not return. I usually don’t even leave reviews but that doctor just rubbed me the wrong way. All this to say again DO not come to this location.
Dr. Procarione is wonderful! She’s warm, thoughtful, and really listens and cares about her patients. We have been going here for 4+ years and have had great experiences with all of the drs, nurses, and team! Would highly recommend to anyone with kiddos!
We have loved our experience at Lakeview Pediatrics, but especially with Dr. Newport. She is very down to earth. She asks excellent questions and takes her time. We are very thankful to have her as our pediatrician. Every doctor that we have seen at Lakeview Pediatrics has been great, and in an emergency we have been able to get in in a reasonable amount of time as well. I would highly suggest Lakeview Pediatrics to you if you were looking for a new pediatrician!
We love Dr Newport! I have two girls 9 and 6 and although we moved and have an hour long commute, it is by far the best pediatric practice. I find the lobby very welcoming and the receptionist has always been most helpful. Our appointments have never felt rushed and the check up is very thorough with going over ASQs, getting useful information about milestones - diet, sleep, nutrition or other concerns. I felt with sick day emergencies the responsiveness was good from doctor on call and if I left voicemails or emails I would always get a call back to help with additional details.
We have been with Lakeview Pediatrics since my first child was born, and now my second child is almost 10! Time truly flies. I am so grateful for this wonderful pediatric clinic. The doctors and staff are always professional, helpful, and it’s so easy to make an appointment by phone or email. Dr. Chang has been such a caring doctor for our family—she is a great listener, very patient, and especially considerate toward busy moms. She has kindly squeezed us in when needed and even helped review our medical records after we had seen several different doctors while traveling, which could have been confusing. We are very thankful for her support! Dr. Newport also made a life-changing difference for our family—I believe I’ve mentioned before that he saved my son’s life, and we will always remember that. We are also appreciative of the other doctors in the group, as we occasionally see them as well. Overall, we feel very fortunate to have Lakeview Pediatrics as our trusted clinic!
