Incredible hospitality, punctuality, and experience. Arielle was our guide through the mesquite trail, and she was so pleasant and personable. The horses were well behaved and seemed quite comfortable in their environments. We went for an 11 year old girl’s birthday, and she really got a star treatment. I would highly recommend, 10/10
We enjoyed a trail ride at Lone Star Ranch on Thanksgiving weekend. Both of us are middle-aged novice riders looking for some outdoor time in nature during a visit to Austin. The location was conveniently located and was fun to visit. The barns, animals, and property looked well-kept. It was easy to book a reservation with the friendly staff, who were professional and safety conscious. We highly recommend this business for both recreation and business events.
This was such a wonderful experience for me! I'm a beginner and I got paired with a wonderful horse named Curly. The trail was so peaceful and beautiful. Ariel was also a wonderful wrangler. She was talking to me about the history of the area and information about the different horses on the trail with us. She gave great instructions! She is clearly experienced and knows these horses very well. All the staff at the ranch were very kind as well and welcoming.
Lone Star Ranch was an outstanding experience. My girlfriend booked a private ride as a Christmas gift, and it set the tone from the start. The staff were friendly, clear, and easy to talk to. They asked about our riding experience, listened, and adjusted the ride instead of forcing a script. Our guide gave us real freedom. Since we were both comfortable on horses, we were allowed to trot through parts of the property, which changed the ride from passive to engaging. The land is what makes this place stand out. The trails move between wide open stretches, tight winding paths, and river crossings. The terrain keeps you present the entire time. This is not a slow tourist ride. It is an experience built for people who want to ride, not just sit on a horse.
Absolutely amazing, incredible experience! We enjoyed the 1.5hr evening ride and it was SO PERFECT! No complaints whatsoever!!Although the ride is super beginner-friendly and we’ve ridden many times, it was so worth it with the peaceful and fun and entertaining atmosphere! We would do it again in a heartbeat! The wranglers were incredible and the scenery was just gorgeous and relaxing! Beautiful, clean area and ranch! Such a fun experience afterward with all the longhorns and goats and donkeys too!
