Playland is a wonderful and safe place for children to have fun and use their imagination! Flora is incredibly loving and my son didn’t want to leave at the end of each day. Great daycare option!
My husband and I visited several daycare facilities before deciding and choosing Los Angeles Playland Childcare and Flora. We were looking for a daycare provider for our then 12-month-old. It was a very hard decision to make and after much consideration we determined that Flora was the best person to provide the daily care of our son. Like other parents, we felt a lot of fear and worry about leaving our little one with a stranger for a full day. Flora was very kind and considerate through the process. At the very beginning, our little guy struggled with the new routine and going to daycare. Most of the challenges, however, were likely attributed to the fact that I was inconsistent with my routine. Flora, very patiently and despite my protests of concern, encouraged me to drop off our son every day at a consistent time. And as predicted by Flora, our little guy began adjusting to his new environment. She has educational background and a background in young childhood development – this has proved helpful with ensuring that our little guy’s needs are being met. For the past 8 months, our little guy has grown a lot, thanks to Flora’s support. Since birth, our little guy was a poor sleeper and Flora worked him to fall asleep on his own. This wonderful skill has translated to our home where he is now a strong and lengthy sleeper. He has observed what his peers are doing and has begun to seek opportunities to eat with a spoon or fork. He is becoming stronger with independent play and loves music time and has begun mumbling songs. He is also learning to follow directions and will get his shoes when asked. Flora has also helped us to get our little one to ditch the binky! At the time we started, our little guy was the youngest in the bunch of children Flora’s daycare. But she helped cultivate a nurturing and caring environment that even the older children would be excited about our little one’s arrival frequently calling him their “baby” and giving him hugs. When he would cry at the very beginning, they would try to help him and distract him. The other children would share toys and try to get our little to calm down. She teaches all the children to be kind and respectful to one another. When we first joined Flora’s daycare, she shared that he would love coming to her daycare and would not want to leave. I didn’t believe it at the time, but now, 8 months later, I can fully attest that our little guy is always happy to arrive and runs to Flora who greets him with a big hug. At pickup, he will be excited to see me, but upon picking him up to carry him out, he will begin crying about leaving. We thank Flora and Mary for their love and care they provide our little one. I would highly recommend Flora and Los Angeles Playland Daycare.
Our daughter has been with Flora at playland childcare for over a year. Flora really loves our daughter and all of the other kids. She truly takes amazing care of the kids and we fully trust her! They have so many events and do so many different activities. There’s a big outdoor play area, so when it’s warm the kids get a lot of playtime outside and they burn a lot of energy which is a plus
We couldn’t be happier with Los Angeles playland childcare! From the moment we enrolled our son, we felt confident he was in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. The teachers are warm, attentive, and truly care about each child. Our son has blossomed in their care—he’s always excited to go to daycare and comes home sharing new songs, skills, and stories. We’ve noticed incredible progress in his social and developmental milestones, and we’re so grateful for the enriching activities they provide daily. Communication is excellent, too! Flora keeps us updated with pictures, reports, and detailed feedback about our son’s day, which gives us such peace of mind. It’s clear this daycare is passionate about creating a loving and supportive community for children and families. We’re so glad we chose them and wholeheartedly recommend Los Angeles playland childcare to any parent!
