Best staff ever, SERIOUSLY! This place was magical and the food is SUPERB! Wonderful flavors and such a fun atmosphere. I can't recommend enough.
This place was very festively decorated for the Christmas season. Lots of retro decorations made it feel very cozy and a great place to grab a drink and/or food with friends. My group had several Christmas cocktails off the menu and all of them were very unique and very good. We went in for happy hour and by 5 PM. It was getting very busy and somewhat loud.
Our first meal when visiting Wisconsin and it did not disappoint! The cheese pull on the pizza was on point. Loved that there were clearly marked vegetarian options. The ambiance was beautiful and felt very inclusive. All of the staff we interacted with were very nice and helpful, especially our bartender. She was the best and gave us fun recommendations on things to do while in Madison.
After hearing so many great things about Lucille, we were very excited for our first visit. The restaurant has great atmosphere. It was busy on a Saturday afternoon, but we were seated right away. We tried the vegetarian Umami Pie pizza, but unfortunately it wasn't for us; we didn't like the flavor. We also ordered the small size of the nachos as a starter, and the portion was huge! While nachos were decent, they weren't anything very special. Overall while we liked the vibe of the restaurant, the food itself didn't quite live up to our expectations.
Beautiful sunny day in Madison with a group of friends we decided to have pizza at Lucille . There was no wait time as we arrived earlier than the lunch crowd rush and we were seated upstairs . Our server greeted us and explained the menu and the way dishes are brought out as they are prepared . She was very good at explaining how things worked . We all got pizzas and it was nice to see they offered a gluten free version of their pizza as well as one of our friends has gf preference. Drink menu was okay . I was looking for a classic sangria to balance out the pizza but they only offered a white version with peach . It was ok but not something I would order again too sweet . The queen pizza is their version of a classic margarita and the addition of prosciutto is a must . Highly recommend this add ! Very nice pizza . It does get loud upstairs . Especially as more people arrive the acoustics change and noise echoes . We were done by the time it got too loud for me. This is a downtown centrally located restaurant so street parking will be hard . Propose and best idea is to use one of the many paid parking garages . Works good .
